Awakening Luna: Darkness Holding The Light By Majie Chapter 13
CHAPTER THIRTEEN
ADELIA
“Did you finish talking to him?” I heard a beautiful voice and looked up to see that the beautiful lady was
still standing in front of me. The only difference was that her sparkling eyes were twinkling even more.
“Ah… yes…” I told her. Even though she was a bit intrusive, I did not feel uncomfortable towards her.
On the contrary, she was making me feel relaxed and at ease. And add to the fact that an enemy would
never be able to enter Lewis’ house, I was sure that the friendly lady was not someone dangerous.’
Thus, I smiled at her and shyly added, “He invited me for breakfast.” The lady stared at me without any Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
reaction for a few seconds before I saw her hands reaching towards my face. Then, I felt her fingers
gently pinching my cheeks before she said, “Where did Alpha Lewis find you? Do you have a brother or
a sister? If you have, please tell me where I could find them so I can bring them home.” “Ah?” I
exclaimed. “Eh, but why?” Why would she want my brother? I blinked in confusion. The lady chuckled
before softly patting my cheeks. “Nevermind. Let’s talk about that later.” “For now, you should go and
eat breakfast with Alpha Lewis before that guy decides to come over here and get you,” she urged me.
‘Ah, that’s right! Lewis wants to have breakfast with me so I must hurry!’ I thought before sprinting to
the washroom at the side of the room. In just a few minutes, I refreshed myself and went back to the
room. The lady was still there, casually sitting at the side table. The room was huge, and yet, she made
it look smaller just by staying in it. “Seems like you’re ready,” she smiled at me. “Then, I’ll come and
see you later, cutie,” she told me before walking to the door. I furrowed my brows before asking, “Aren’t
you eating breakfast with us?” Someone who could enter Lewis’ house was a friend, that was what I
had thought. Friends eating together, was not that the norm? However, the beautiful lady seemed to
have turned stiff for a fraction of a second upon hearing me before she turned around to face me.
Then, with a very serious expression, she told me, “My dear… I’m not as bold as Halen… I don’t want
to die yet…” A few minutes later, a powerful yet friendly looking warrior was escorting me towards the
place where I would meet Lewis.
‘I knew that a pack house was supposed to be huge,’ I thought as I looked around the interior of the
house. ‘But this pack house… it’s even way bigger than Alec’s…’ …it’s like a palace…’ I thought as I
stared around in amazement. Because of the size of the pack house, it took us a few minutes until we
arrived at the garden.
‘This place…’
‘it’s so beautiful!’ My eyes widened as I stared at the flowers that were beautifully blooming in every
corner. ‘Goddess… this is so pretty… I could not help but exclaim. Suddenly, I felt painfully aware of
the eyes that were directly at me. I blinked and tried to put on a poker face and tried to contain my
excitement inside. After all, this was Lewis’ place. I did not want to embarrass him in case I ended up
acting in a weird manner. However, I still could not stop my eyes from sneaking glances at the beautiful
garden. My focus was mostly on the flowers that I did not realize right away that the warrior who was
escorting me already stopped walking. It was only a couple of seconds later that I noticed that I was
walking alone in the middle of the garden.
“Ah…” I uttered as I tried to calmly look around me. It was at that moment that I noticed a beautiful
image. A man who was wearing black shirt and pants was sitting at the lone table in the middle of the
garden. His hair was cut neat and his face was clear. He had a pair of eyes that were as dark as
midnight that seemed to contain a deep and endless abyss. He was more eye-catching… more
beautiful than all the flowers combined. My heart started fluttering as I looked at Lewis. He was sitting
in a relaxed manner as he looked at me with a hint of amusement in his dark eyes. ‘Don’t tell me that
he has been watching me? I didn’t even realize he was here…’I mentally complained as I glanced at
his figure. He was clearly sitting there, but there was not even a leak of energy coming from his body,
like his presence did not exist.
It was as if he was not there.
A small smile tugged on my lips. ‘He is really excellent and powerful,’ I thought as I continued looking at
Lewis.
Lewis seemed to have seen or heard something that pleased him. Slowly, he stood up and walked
towards me. Each step that he took made my heart beat faster. And when he was finally two feet away
from me, Lewis reached out his hand to hold mine before he said with a very soft and gentle voice,
“You’re here, Lia.”
