Chapter 280
Chapter 280
Derrick smiled as he tucked away the disdain in his eyes, “See you later.”
After leaving the hospital, Derrick hailed a cab to the bustling Central Mall.
Then, he switched to another taxi, heading to the prestigious Green Gables Estate–a sought–after enclave known to house celebrities within the confines of Bayridge City.
“Drive into the underground parking.” Derrick instructed the taxi driver.
“You got it,” replied the driver unfazed by the wealth and fame that often graced his backseat.
Stepping out of the cab, Derrick swiped his key card for the 16th floor elevator. Each level boasted a single, sprawling apartment–opulence defined.
As the elevator doors parted, a waft of perfume greeted him. A woman, graceful and well–preserved, threw herself into his arms.
“Derick!” she squealed, “It’s been so long since you’ve come to see me.”
With a firm grip, Demick pulled her in for a fervent kiss. “Here I am now, aren’t 17”
“You owe me,” she purred, flipping her hair back and kicking off her stilettos. Her arms snaked around his waist, her intentions clear as day.
“Got any more of the drug?” Demck shed his suit jacket, impatient.
Externally, Mr. Derrick exuded class and elegance. But in this setting, he reveled in indulgence, casting aside all masks of decorum.
“Yeah, it’ll rock your world,” she assured
Shamelessly, the two stripped and tumbled onto the carpet. Derrick whispered dirty nothings into her ear, which seemed to thrill her to no end, her moans a performance of faux ecstasy.
Pushing fifty, Derrick’s vigor couldn’t match the hunger of a woman in her prime. Coaxing him into popping several little blue pills, she played to his male pride.
“Mercy, Derrick, darling, have mercy,” she begged amidst fits of coy laughter.
“Who pleases you more, me or Magnolia?” she teased.
To Demick, she was his treasure. “Magnolia’s a dead fish in bed, not like you, my wild one.
As evening fell and the rain ceased, Derrick held Angella tenderly, his fingers still busy tracing her skin. “Magnolia is not at maintai herself, not like you.”
“Really? You do know she’s a Lopez heiress, Angela smiled, a hint of venom in her voice
Her greatest loathing was reserved for Magnolia. Despite being Derrick’s childhood sweetheart and first love, she was relegated to the shadows as his mistress.
“No comparison,” Derrick stated, savoring his post–coital cigarette, the smoke curling into the air
He caressed her smooth skin, soothing her with words, “We have history. Magnolia is just a stepping stone. You’re always in my heart, and you gave me a daughter”
Angela nuzzled his arm with her chest, “How’s Selina been? I heard she tried to take her own life.”
“She’s fine. But there’s something else… Claude’s condition is improving.”Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
Angela’s eyes widened in shock. “If he wakes up, our things won’t stay
hidden.”
Years ago, she had timed her C–section with Magnolia’s delivery to switch the bables. Derrick had handed Magnolia’s child over to a trusted associate, but Claude had overheard everything.
Without hesitation, Derrick had taken care of Claude
“He won’t wake up!” Derrick said with venomous certainty.
Angela’s worry seeped through her words, “I’ve been so uneasy lately. Derrick, was the child really dead back then?”
“Yes. I saw the photos.” Derrick’s eyes narrowed as he spoke, “She’s definitely dead.”
It was his revenge against Magnolia and the Lopez family! He had built his empire from nothing, enduring years of their disdain, and now it was his tum to settle the score.
