Chapter 273
Chapter 273
The crowd was a sea of bodies, and the lights shone brilliantly.
Through the throng of people, Howard had a piercing chill aura despite the warm night.
Cliff split the crowd effortlessly, as Howard moved with an impassive face through the parting, sliding an arm around Gwendolyn’s slender waist.
His icy gaze locked onto the band’s lead singer, his lips parting slightly, “I’m her husband. Any problems with that?”
“No…” the young man stammered, thoroughly intimidated.
Gwendolyn, reeking of alcohol, leaned into him and slurred, “Honey… I’m married, you know.” Her hands roamed his body without rhyme
or reason.
“Gwendolyn, stop that,” Howard wamed, shrugging off his jacket into Cliff’s waiting hands. Deliberately, he unbuttoned his crisp white shirt and rolled up his sleeves, revealing muscular forearms.
An electric tension filled the air.
He hoisted Gwendolyn into his arms, as she protested, “Drinks! Sandra, we need more drinks!”
Howard gave her a gentle pat on the behind and turned to the singer, “Still want her number? You can have mine.”
The lead singer quickly shook his head, “No sweat, man. I didn’t realize who she was!!
Howard withdrew his gaze and carried Gwendolyn out of the bar.
“She’s so lucky!” Sandra, her cheeks flushed and eyes sparkling, cooed.
Her mind was filled with naughty thoughts. “Oh, Gwendolyn’s in for a wild night.”
Nathan, standing beside her, teased in a husky voice, “You seem to know a lot about wild nights.
His handsome features and deep blue eyes were mesmerizing, and he carried himself with the flamboyance of a peacock
Caught off guard by his intense gaze, Sandra was spellbound.
Sparks flew, attraction met opportunity, and both were looking for a little adventure.
“Hey, handsome, I’ve got a collection of sexy movies at home. Wanna come over and watch?” She boldly invited, tipsy and brazen.
Nathan chuckled, his eyes growing darker, “Coincidentally. I have a wall of toys at my place. Care to try them out?” His fingers trailed down her back, tempting her
Unable to resist she whispered coyly. “Let’s give them a whirl.”
Hormones surged, and Nathan’s lips found her cheeks. Sandra, not to be outdone, responded in kind.
Their passion was uncontainable. Skillful kisses, mutual surrender, Nathan was pleasantly surprised to meet a woman so in sync with him.
“My place,” he suggested.
Sandra, breathless, shook her head, “I’ve got work tomorrow. Let’s go to mine.”
“Alright,” Nathan agreed, considerately accommodating the working girl’s request as they kissed their way out of the bar.
At the Chadwick estate, Howard Chadwick carried Gwendolyn from the car, her drunken struggles punctuated by cries for more alcohol,

Flushing from the wine, Gwendolyn blinked, “I want to go to the studio! I want to go!”
Drunk, rebellious, perhaps too well–behaved when sober, now the real Gwendolyn was unleashed.
“I’ll take you.” Howard conceded, carrying her to the top–floor studio.
Once there, Gwendolyn shoved Howard away. She staggered, tugging at her dress’s zipper, which frustratingly remained just out of reach. In imitation, she ripped open the neckline.
Bare shoulders revealed
“Gwendolyn, what are you doing?” Howard asked, a low chuckle in his voice.
“I want to paint” She was jealous, competing
The sound of fabric splitting rang out as she tore a strip from her dress, demanding, “Paint
Al me!
Why should Selina have something she didn’t?
“Paint what exactly?” Howard couldn’t help but smile, standing in the dim light, arms crossed, watching her drunken tantrum,
