An Unbreakable Addiction

Chapter 0089

She was beyond caring about her dignity now. All she could think of was calming Hunter down.

If he could just let go of his anger, maybe he wouldn't go after the people around her. And maybe he would let the millions go, just this once. With her soft body pressed against him, her enticing voice in his ear, and her scent filling the air, Hunter's restraint was slipping.

He gripped her waist, pulling her closer. They were locked in a position that was as close and intimate as lovers could be, yet his words were anything but tender. "So, Mrs. Jasper, are you selling yourself? How much per time? How many times would it take to pay off the millions your family took?"

Mia's heart clenched painfully, as if twisted by invisible hands. She forced a bright smile, her tone sweet and playful. "Well, that depends on your generosity, Mr. Jasper. If you're feeling generous, maybe just once could cover it all. If not, I guess I'll just have to keep going. All I ask is that you show mercy to the people around me, alright?"

She knew that letting her sadness show would only irritate him further, so she always masked her emotions in front of him.

But her words seemed to hit him, his eyes flashing red with anger as he gripped her waist tighter. "So it's just like three years ago," he muttered. "Throwing yourself at me for a purpose."

As he had suspected, she was only doing this to keep him from going after the people close to her.

In one rough move, he tore her skirt, his movements rough and unyielding.Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

The pain made Mia's face go pale as she instinctively guarded her stomach, her voice trembling. "Hunter, go easy. It hurts." She hadn't forgotten the baby she was carrying. Hunter gave a dismissive sneer. "You think you can name the terms? If you're selling, then it's up to me to enjoy this however I please," he said, unyielding as ever.

Mia's heart ached, and the pain seared through her body, draining the color from her face. "Hunter, stop! I'm in pain!"

Hunter could feel her tense beneath him and the tension was building inside him as sweat started to bead on his forehead.

Just then, his phone rang, breaking the tension between them.

As he picked up, Jenna's frantic voice cried through the receiver, "Hunter, I was in a car accident! There's so much blood. I'm so scared. I feel like I might die. Please, come see me just one last time."

The two of them were close enough that Mia could clearly hear Jenna's words. Surprisingly, a strange sense of relief washed over her, loosening the tension in her body.

Hunter instantly noticed her reaction, his brows lifting with a slight smirk as he started moving his body deliberately.

"Hunter... please, stop!" she cried out, her hands gripping his shoulders, as if holding on might lessen the pain. She wasn't pretending. She was genuinely hurting.

Tll be there soon," he said hurriedly before hanging up

"Hunter, just get off me!" Mia gasped, her voice soft and laced with a hint of tears.

Hunter glanced down, catching sight of her tear-streaked face framed by her disheveled hair. There was something heartbreakingly beautiful about her looking so vulnerable and raw.

Whatever frustration he had been holding onto dissipated in an instant. Gently, he brushed tear from the corner of her eye.

"After three years, and you're still sore? You're doing this on purpose," he muttered, his tone softening despite the feigned annoyance.

Mia was too drained to respond, slumping against him without a word.

Hunter pulled back, carefully placing her on the seat as he began to clean himself up. After tidying himself up, he looked at her once more. Mia's hair was obscuring her face, hiding her expression. Without lingering, he simply muttered, "I'm heading to the hospital. Get yourself dressed," before stepping out and closing the door behind him.
