Always Yours

Chapter 31

I was annoyed. I was trying to keep my distance from Franko and yet here I was needing to talk to him because Alice didn’t have the balls to do it herself. I couldn’t say no because then she’d just make me feel bad about it.

“You alright?”. He asked taking his smokes from his cut pocket.

“Fine”. I sighed.

“You sure?”. Lighting one up I watched as he took a long drag.

I wonder what smoking a cigarette would be like. I wonder what it would taste like because it smells disgusting.

“Is Tommy going to dump Alice?”. I asked.

A laugh fell from his lips. “The fuck are you talking about?”.

I felt stupid and maybe even a little embarrassed that I was even standing here asking him this. It was none of my business and I wanted to keep it that way. I didn’t want to be going back and forth with Franko about a relationship that wasn’t even mine.

A groan fell from my lips. “Can I have some of that?”.

“Some of what?”.

“That”. I nodded towards the hand that held the cigarette. “Your smoke”.

“Fuck no. You don’t want to start smoking darling”.

I shrugged. “So, is he going to dump her or not?”.

“How the fuck would I know that, Aubrey?”.

“Because he’s your best friend”. I frowned.

“And you think we talk bout that shit?”. He smirked.

“You’re right”. I shook my head. “I shouldn’t have bothered you I’m sorry”. As I went to go back inside, he reached out taking a hold of my arm.

“Fuck if I know what’s going on with Tommy but it ain’t my business sweetheart and it ain’t yours”.

“Oh, I know”. I sighed.

“So, why the fuck are you asking?”. He frowned.

I really wanted to try his cigarette and I have no idea why. The smell alone made me want to gag.

“Because I’m a good friend”. I shrugged.

“You need better friends cause that in there ain’t nothing but a club whore”.

“Hey”. I pushed his chest. “Don’t call her that”. I knew he wasn’t fond of her, but I wouldn’t stand here and let him call her names.

A laugh fell from his lips, and he was quick to grab my hand lacing our fingers together. “How bout you come for a ride?”.

“Okay”.

“Aye?”. He grinned.

“No”. I rolled my eyes. “Because I’m a good friend and I’m not going to leave Alice here with no way of getting home”.

“I’ll get Tommy to take her home”.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea”.

“But you want to don’t you”. He pulled me closer his arm wrapping around my waist trapping me against him. “Fuck princess I can’t seem to stay away from you”. He whispered.

“Franko”. His touch alone made my body tingle. I felt alive and I wanted nothing more than to wrap my arms around his neck and crash his lips to mine. “I want to kiss you”.

A gasp fell from my lips. Did I just say that aloud?

Oh, shit.

His grip tightened as he pulled me closer. “Then fucking kiss, me”.

So, I did. I placed my lips gently against his, my eyes closing as I did. I shouldn’t be doing this, but I couldn’t stop. As I felt his tongue sweep my bottom lip I pulled back.

“I-… I have to get back inside”.

“Meet me tonight”.

Again, I was making this situation worse. I had no restraint, no will power. I was digging a bigger hole for myself and yet all I wanted to do was be with him.

I wanted to meet him, I wanted to hang out with him.

I jumped when the door to the diner opened. “Aubrey, are you coming back inside?”. Alice asked.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

“Coming”. Chewing the inside of my cheek I looked up at him. “You have to let me go”.

His arm slipped from my waist his grip on my hand loosened. “Boys don’t talk relationships darling. Tell your friend she’ll need to talk to Tommy herself”.

“Funny that because apparently you talk about me all the time”.

“That’s cause I can’t get your cute fucking face out my head”.

“Then why are you still sleeping with other girls?”. I whispered

“You gonna be my old lady?”.

“Franko”.

“Say the word darling and it all stops”.

“I have to go”.

I was annoyed before but now, now I was in a funk. I should have told Alice no because now all I could think about was Franko and wanting to be with him. I was sick of going over the pros and cons in my head.

“I ordered you a burger. I wasn’t sure if you wanted something or not”. Alice shrugged.

“Thanks, but can we just get out of here?”. I had had enough of Franko for one day.

“Did something happen out there?”. She whispered.

“I kissed him”.

“You kissed him”. She yelled.

“Shhh”. I glared.

He had yet to come back in, but his friends were still here, and it wasn’t hard to put two and two together.

“I thought you were trying to stay away from him?”.

“I was until you asked me to talk to him”.

“I’m sorry”. She winced. “Did he say anything?”.

“Apparently boys don’t talk about that shit”. I rolled my eyes. “He doesn’t know anything sorry”.

“We’ve been in here for almost an hour and he’s not came near me. Something is definitely up with him, but do you know what fuck it. You ready to get out of here?”.

I wasn’t expecting that reaction from her, but I liked it.

“Yes”. I smiled.

It wasn’t until we were almost at my car those things changed. Tommy came running out the diner calling her name. She looked at me I shrugged. It was her choice if she wanted to speak to him.

For the millionth time I wasn’t getting involved.

“I’ll be in the car”.

They disappeared. To where I have no idea. I was waiting another ten minutes and if she wasn’t back, I was leaving her.

The roar of a bike engine caught my attention and when I noticed it was Alice and Tommy speeding out of the parking lot a few curse words left my mouth.

She couldn’t have given me a heads up?

Sighing I turned on my engine and was about to leave when Franko appeared out of nowhere and tapped on my window.

“I see she bailed on you again”.

I wasn’t in the mood to listen to him bad mouth Alice again. So, she left with her boyfriend. It wasn’t a big deal, right?

A sigh fell from my lips as I shrugged. “He’s her boyfriend”.

“Always got an excuse for her, haven’t you”.

“Do you need something?”. I asked.

“You need better friends darling”.

“So, you’ve said now I have to get home”.

“Meet me tonight”.

“No”. I frowned.

“Come on princess. Sneak out and spend the night with me”.

“You’re crazy”. Butterflies erupted in my stomach at the thought of spending more time with him.

“Maybe darling”. He laughed. “Parking lot across from the clubhouse. Meet me there at midnight”.

“No Franko”. I couldn’t make this situation worse than what it already was. I was sucked in enough and spending time with him was only going to make me fall for him more.

I was trying to keep my distance and was doing a lousy job.

“Midnight princess and if you don’t show we’re done for good”.

Done for good?

Oh.
