EPISODE 43 Stay a little more
MOON STONE PACK
Carl lay on his side smiling at Meagan who had turned to face him. He brushed strands of hair away from her face as he stroked his fingertips over her face.
“We still have enough time to rest before the wedding.” He said.
Meagan hummed a response. “So what’s your plan after the wedding is over?” Carl asked breaking off the one minute silence.
Meagan fixed her gaze at the white painted ceilings. “Get some rest and prepare for the full wolf moon celebration. I have been looking forward to hear lots of howls in the sky.” She answered.
“So does that mean our sneaking around ends today?” He questioned.
Meagan didn’t give any response. “I mean.. we won’t be seeing each other after the wedding right?” He asked again.
When Meagan looked at him, an expression that he couldn’t read flashed through her eyes. But Carl assumed it was a response that she wasn’t interested in seeing him after the wedding.
“We had an agreement, Carl.” Meagan said with shrug reminding him again that it was an adventure. A part of her life that she wanted to keep a secret.Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.
The switch up made Carl wonder if she was still the same woman who had cried and soaked his top with tears. But he flashed her a half smile that didn’t reach his dangerous but soft Irish eyes.
“Alright. I only came back to you because… I didn’t want us to end this adventure on a bad note. Allison had a proper goodbye with the warlord.” Carl said in a low tone.
Meagan nodded in agreement. “Well.. I am also sorry for pushing you away after finding out the truth about you. Everything became awkward between us in the hall and -”
“I didn’t like it. I mean you ignoring me. I really tried my best to put up a show that we are strangers.” Carl interrupted her.
Meagan nodded. “It’s alright.”
And they lasted into silence again until Carl broke the silence. “I should get going so you can have a good rest.” He made a move to leave the bed but she stopped him.
“Can you stay for some minutes? A little longer.” She mouthed when he looked back at her.
Carl sighed. “Alright. But I won’t stay for too long.” He traced her lips with one fingertip before leaning down to kiss her quickly.
Carl adjusted himself to lay properly on the bed, his head resting against the pillow and she snuggled closer to his chest and covered their bodies with the bed cover. One of his arms went around her automatically and his fingers began to trail her upper arm.
Meagan closed her eyes for a moment, feeling the warmth of his touch. Peace – that’s what she felt as she snuggled this close to the alpha but she doesn’t want to dwell on it. She reminded herself that everything would end in few minutes time.
“Meagan, would it be too much of me to know some certain things about you?” Carl picked his choice of words carefully. Dozens of questions flooded his mind but he held back so as not to make her uncomfortable and pressured by him.
“I know you are only here to support your best friend but – I’ll like to know you.” He added.
Meagan reopened her eyes after a faint sigh. “Meagan Swift, twenty six years old and a medical doctor. I am the third child out of five, two older siblings and two younger ones too. And I am quite the different one in my family.” She gave out her in her information briefly as she stringer his chest with her hand slowly.
“How are you the different one? What do you mean?” Carl asked.
“My parents own a big law firm in Connecticut. My father wanted all of his children to study law and he got it. My elder sisters are lawyers while my younger siblings are also planning to work at the law firm after getting their degrees. But I picked medicine over law.” Meagan answered.
She has always been the different one in her family. She was the only one among her sisters still single while her younger siblings are in serious relationships. She was the one who has made work a top priority in her life and the only one who doesn’t own a car yet. Not that she doesn’t have the money but she was saving up to buy her dream house. And Meagan was also sure that her sisters wouldn’t have made out with a stranger by a pool or do all sorts of crazy and wild stuffs.
“So how did your parents feel about your choice of studying medicine instead of law?” Carl asked as his hand slide into the bed covers downwards to her ass.
Meagan shrugged. “He wasn’t happy about it but she couldn’t stop me. I opted in for a profession that suit me best.” She rested on her elbow to look at him.
“What about you? What’s the life of being an alpha like?” She asked.
Carl smirked when she lifted one of her legs giving his fingers access to travelled from her belly to v-line.
“I studied business on my father’s orders.” Carl played with her deep belly button.
“Not what you wanted to study right?” She questioned as tingled stirred in the walls of her stomach.
