Alpha’s Predestined Bride

EPISODE 39 Trips to Maldives

MOON STONE PACK

Jones jolted her out of thought reminding her of his presence in front of her. She apologized to him with a forced smile on her face.

Hazel leaned closely to whisper to her mate. “Brianna seems happy with Jeremy.”

Julius looked up and noticed his younger sister and the alpha’s cousin having a chat. Brianna was giggling quietly to a gesture Jeremy had made.

“I haven’t seen her this happy in a long time.” Julius admitted.

“Well I think your sister is in love.” Hazel replied.

“It would be a great news if she is in love Jeremy. That would stop her from going after the alpha.” Julius said, giving his mate’s hand a small squeeze.

Brianna was charmed by Jeremy. His words and gestures fascinated her. She felt bewitched each time Jeremy looked at her.

“Jeremy is a nice guy. I mean what woman wouldn’t respond to his charms?” Julius chuckled at the new look in his sister’s eyes because of Jeremy.

“You are right. Jeremy is an attractive guy. And I hope they start something together.” Hazel replied.

Julius shook his head. “I’ll give my consent to the relationship.”

Hazel laughed softly. “Brianna deserve to be give her heart to someone who will reciprocate her love.”

“Yeah. I hope to see more love dramas and get invitations to weddings from these people.” Julius pointed his fingers at everyone who have turned up for them. He was referring to the single wolves and humans.

Carl noticed Meagan going over to meet Hazel and Julius with Jones right behind her. And Helen made an announcement of calling the rehearsal to an end after dealing with the ushers.

“Let’s all make sure to get here early so we won’t keep our guests waiting for no reason.” Helen said in resignation.

Everyone nodded in understanding. And they started moving out of the hall.

“How do you feel? Your wedding is in less than three hours.” Meagan directed her question at the soon to wed couple. “Don’t repeat the same lines of being the luckiest man in the world.” She added quickly and the four of them laughed.

“Of course that’s how I feel!” Julius coaxed.

“Aside being happy, I am grateful to everyone who has showed support, love and also turned up for this event.” Hazel said with a sincere look on her face.

“I wanted a small wedding but this turn up is massive. The alpha should be the one having this amount of crowd at his wedding.” Julius joked.

They laughed except Meagan who feigned a smile on her face.

“The next call I want to get from you is the news of a growing fetus in your womb.” Jones said.

Meagan nodded in agreement. “I’ll be a godmother soon!” She clapped her hands in excitement.

“Don’t worry we’ll only focus on making babies during our honeymoon.” Julius responded with a grin displaying on his face.

Hazel placed her palms on her face to hide the blush that crept on her cheeks.

They laughed. “So how long will you be away from the pack?” Jones asked.

“We’ll be gone for.. about three weeks.” Julius answered.

“The alpha booked a trip to Maldives in Asia for us.” Hazel informed Jones.

“Oh.. that’s so nice of him.” Jones mouthed.

Meagan already knew the alpha booked a trip for the couple but hearing her best friend saying it again seemed awkward to her. She tried not to glance in his way as he stood conversing with just one bridesmaid now. There are just few people left in the hall.

“I should get back to the guesthouse now.” Meagan said.

“Alright. I will place an order of food for you. Jones, can you please drop her off at the guesthouse before going your way?” Hazel requested.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

“I already made the offer.” Jones answered.

“Thank you, Jones.” Hazel smiled.

“See you later.” Meagan waved at the couple before walking out of the hall with Jones.

Carl saw them heading out. He wanted to end the conversation with the lady named Joanna who has been busy throwing seductive looks at him since he entered into the hall but he didn’t want to be impolite.

“Is she a close friend?” Julius asked his mate referring to Joanna.

“I don’t know her too well. But I think Alice introduced her to me as a friend.” Hazel answered.

“I have been watching her for a while and it seems like she is making an effort on the alpha but he can’t dismiss her.” Julius said in a low tone.

“I think you are right. But this shouldn’t be happening right?” Hazel asked and Julius hummed a positive response.

Hazel stood up. “Carl! Please can I have a moment with you?” She waved at him.

“Ding! Ding! Ding! Saved by the bride.” Julius muttered.

“Oh sure, I’ll be right there with you.” Carl replied.

Joanna wasn’t happy but she had to say goodbye to the alpha. “I’ll see you at the wedding.” She smiled and then walked away.

Carl went to meet his best friend and bride.

“Were you trying to flirt with that lady?” Julius teased his friend.

Carl shook his head. “Not at all but she is into me. She asked me if I am in a relationship but I diverted her attention to other things.”

Julius pointed a finger at him. “You better not flirt with any woman and focus on my wedding.”

Carl eyed his best friend and he tried to grab his finger but Hazel stepped in between them.

“I am sure he didn’t mean to be rude.” Hazel apologized.

“Don’t apologize.. let him get mad and beat up the groom.” Julius stuck out his tongue at the alpha.

A growl reverberated from Carl’s throat and Julius avoided him. “You look tired Carl. You need to get some rest.” Hazel said quickly.

“I am perfectly fine. Just step aside and let me deal with him.” Carl grimaced feigning annoyance.

“No.. you don’t look fine and leave him to me. I will deal with him. And I am sure with enough sleep you will look just fine.” Hazel blabbed as she turned the alpha around and push him ahead towards the door.

Carl didn’t have a chance to protest or have a playful fight with his best friend like they used to do.

“I love you, Carl Damien!” Julius said loudly as Carl jerked free from Hazel push and started to walk out of the hall.

“Well I hate you so much, Julius!” Carl snapped back at him.

“I am sure you don’t mean it, best friend.” Julius chuckled.

Hazel waved at the alpha before he walked off to his car.

Jones felt the urge to ask if there was anything going on between Meagan and the alpha but he decided to let things slide. And the drive back to the guesthouse was in silence with no one making an effort to create a conversation.
