EPISODE 20 Do you want my bouquet?
MOON STONE PACK
Meagan had stopped listening after Hazel described Jeremy’s connection to the alpha. Her mind had drifted off to the memory of the passionate moment with the warlord.
“Would you like to have Hazel’s bouquet?” Brianna asked.
Meagan exchanged glances with her best friend before looking back at Brianna. “I can hand it over to you if you want it.” Hazel smiled but doubting a positive response from her best friend.
“I am sure other bridesmaids would be looking forward to catching the bouquet so it won’t be fair to hand it over to me.” Meagan answered.
“You are right. But whoever catches the bouquet will be the next lucky bride.” Brianna said.
“Well sometimes it doesn’t work that way. I have a friend that has been a bridesmaid for many weddings, she has caught more bouquets than one can ever imagine and she is yet unmarried.” Meagan said.
“Well I hope my best friend catches it. I want to see her get married before the year runs out.” Hazel winked at Meagan as she stood up from the couch.
“Do weddings just come up without a groom in the picture?” Meagan demanded.
Hazel counted her fingers. “We still have seven months to end the year so anything can happen.” She said with a shrug.Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
“Didn’t you say that your call time at the infirmary is in thirty minutes time? Twenty minutes is long gone already.” Meagan did the act of changing topic again.
Hazel rolled her eyes catching her best friend’s scope. She went to Meagan and crouched down to whisper into her ears. “Stop trying to switch topic, I caught you earlier on. And my point is stop shying away from talks that involves men.” And before Meagan could protest Hazel was out of sight, racing off to the room.
“Do you have an idea of where they sell off troublesome wolves? Or probably a slave camp for wolves?” Meagan asked Brianna who giggled.
“I can hear you!” Hazel said loudly.
“Slavery era ended a long time ago.” Brianna replied.
“I am stuck with you, Meagan Swift! You deserve all the happiness in the world, so give another man a chance in your life!” Hazel screamed from the rooms
“Shut up, Hazel!” Meagan shot back.
“We have just ten minutes to call time.” Brianna reminded as she took out a small brush from her bag to redo her hair.
Hazel is an iota wolf which means a worker that works at the pack infirmary treating wolves.
Brianna is an iota warrior. These types of warriors goes to war with other war men or hunters during an hunting game and they also go out with patrol guards. They are always on standby to treat and administer first aid treatment to wolves.
Iota wolves works under the leader called Theta. Some of them are also witches and wizard who have a vast knowledge in using herbs and other medical resources that will help cure and heal others.
Hazel came back to the sitting room all dressed to leave for work. “I feel the bride ought to be resting instead of working.”
“This is what I can do to repay the pack for sponsoring my wedding. And you always say that in this profession saving lives should come first before anything else.” Hazel answered.
“Then I must say you have learnt from the best teacher.” Brianna laughed.
Hazel nodded in agreement. “I am passing that message to the new iotas at the infirmary.”
Brianna stood up from the couch. “So what will you be doing while we are away working?” She asked facing Meagan.
Meagan stood up too. “I’ll just head back to the guesthouse while I wait for your call.” Meagan replied.
“Where is your phone?” Hazel questioned when she noticed that there was nothing with her best friend.
“I went back to the guesthouse when I couldn’t find my way here. I dropped off my stuffs and then retraced my steps down here after asking some wolves for directions.” Meagan lied again.
She already thought of what to say. Megan already figured that Hazel might possibly ask for her cellphone. It had become a habit for Hazel to always ask about Meagan’s phone just to secretly check if she was already seeing someone.
The ladies walked to the door. “It would be so boring for you. Why don’t you have a swim at the pool!” Brianna suggested.
They stepped out of the house and waited while Hazel locked the door.
“Yes, it’s your favorite spot in the pack after the fire flies garden so and have a swim. I am sure no one would be at the pool by this time.” Hazel placed her arm over Meagan’s shoulder as they walked down the small stairs.
“It is not a bad idea. The sun is hitting too hard these days.” Meagan agreed.
“Good girl. I’ll be back from work by seven so come around to have dinner by 8:30 p. m.” Hazel embraced Meagan. “Bye, don’t miss me too much baby.” She added.
Meagan pat her back gently before pulling away from the embrace.
“Take care, Meagan.” Brianna waved as they turned to walk away in another direction that led to the infirmary.
“No lies Hazel, you got the best girl. I get the reason why you don’t want anyone to fill up the chief bridesmaid spot.” Brianna said.
“You are right. Meagan is a sweet girl, I just wish she didn’t shut herself out of the world few years ago.” Hazel sighed.
“What happened in her previous relationship?” Brianna asked.
“That’s a long story for another day. We should hurry to the infirmary before the Theta in charge today decides to pick on us again.” Hazel answered.
