“How I wish this didn’t happen to our family. We would be a lovely family envied by many, we would have all been together…” I thought to myself as I was disrupted by a kiss on my cheeks. My heart fluttered as he did this. It felt like the first day I saw him and my heart fluttered because of him. This alone filled my head with thoughts about what happened when we first mated as my face flushed red even more.

“What was that…” I tried to ask as I was interrupted by a kiss on my lips which made my mind go blank. All the thoughts in my head suddenly disappeared as I closed my eyes.

“You were saying?” He asked as he snapped me back to reality

“Don’t worry about it” I said knowing full well that I have forgotten what I wanted to say to him as he chuckled with a smile on his face.

“Why are you smiling?” I asked curiously hoping that he doesn’t know that I have forgotten what I wanted to say.

“Nothing,” He said as he started to laugh

I thought the facial expression would work on him like before but instead, he started to laugh even more. I wondered why he was laughing so seriously.

“Fine if you won’t tell me, I will leave.” I threatened.

As I stood up and was about to leave the room, I felt his hand wrapped around my waist from behind. I could feel his breath on my neck and his heartbeat.

“Don’t go. I can’t take it if you leave again,” he said as he held me tighter not wanting to let go

“What are you talking about? I would never leave you again no matter what happens.” I said with tears in my eyes as I turned to him and kissed him on his lips. I could see tears in his eyes. I wondered how he felt for those years without me.

“Don’t worry, I won’t leave” I assured him as I hugged him.

After a while, he broke the hug and kissed me deeply wrapping his arms around my waist and pushing me closer to him so that our chests crushed each other. Though he looked strong yet his kiss was so soft and it made me crave for more. Just when I was about to wrap my hands around his neck, he broke the kiss and began to smile. I was so disappointed in him and to top it all, why the hell is he smiling after what he had just done?

“I’m happy you are here with me,” He said still smiling

“Matthew” I hissed even though his smile was cute and charming.

“What is that for?” He asked

“It is a sign of disappointment,” I said as I walked toward the bed.

He chuckled as he hugged me from behind.

“I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you all this while. Don’t be disappointed.” He said as I looked at him confused

“What are you talking about?” I asked

“Well, you said you are disappointed in me. I don’t want you to be.” He said.

“I wasn’t talking about that,” I said to him

“So what were you talking about then?” He asked

“Matthew” I hissed again as I broke his grip and walked to the bed and sat

I folded my hands and turned in the other direction, backing him.

“What did I do now?” He asked

“Why does it always have to be short?” I murmured

“What?” He asked pretending not to have heard what I said

“Nothing,” I said still backing him

He chuckled as he sat close to me. I still won’t look at him

“My love,” He said but got no response from me as I shifted from him a little

“What’s the point when you are just going to make it short?” I murmured as he laughed

“I’m all yours,” He said as I turned to look at him I could still see a serious look on his face

“Matthew” I hissed again

“What now?” He asked

“Nothing” I replied folding my arms

“Come here,” He said as he drew me closer to him and held me from behind

“I missed your smile,” He said as placed a kiss on my neck which my heart flutter.

I turned to him and gave him a deep kiss which he wasn’t expecting. I broke the kiss and said to him
