~ Lucy’s POV ~

“Who were you talking to?” Greeta asked

“No one. As you can see, I am here alone” I replied

“But I heard you talking to someone,” Greeta said

“Oh, that, I have a habit of talking to myself when I am alone,” I said trying not to rise any suspicion

“Try to see if you can get anything from her” Rhea said

“Can I have the water please, I am very thirsty?” I asked Greeta

“Yes you can,” She said as she helped me drink the water. Though it was not enough at least my throat is not as dry as before.

As soon as I was done, Greeta was about to leave when I asked her

“Why do you ask?” She asked.

“Nothing. At least, if you are going to kill let me know so that I can prepare my heart to die by your hands” I said to her

Hahaha!!! She laughed

“Don’t worry sweetheart, I not going to kill you yet. You are last on my list” she said

“Keep going,” Rhea said to me

“Then why keep me here?” I asked

“Dear, you are just a bait. You see, with you here, your mother would want to do everything possible to come to save you and by so doing, she will fall into my trap” Greeta said

“Ask how about the trap,” Rhea said in a haste

“What trap are you talking about?” I asked

“Enough of the question, you already know too much. Now sit tight, I will send someone to get your food” She said as she walked out and locked the door behind her.

“Rhea!!!” I called out

“Are you still there?” I asked

“Yes, I here” She replied

“Greeta just left, sorry I could not get much from her,” I said to her

“Don’t worry, you tried your best. At least, we now know what she’s up to” She said

“Okay, so what are you going to do now?” I asked

“Don’t worry, we will soon get you out of there unharmed, ” she assured

“For now just try and see if you can make her spill out her plans. But be very careful” She added

“Okay, I will. And please, don’t take too long” I said to her

“Okay, don’t worry. Everything will be okay” She said as the door opened and a Lady walked in with a tray of food. She was pretty young, if I’m not mistaken, she would be of the same age as I am. She looked scared. I wonder what a pretty lady like her would be doing here working for those evil wolves and witch

“Here is your food,” She said as she dropped it on the table in front of me.

“Thank you. But how am I going to eat like this?” I asked

“Obviously, my hands are tied,” I said looking at my hands

“Don’t worry, I know that you can not see me free so go get Greeta” I said to her as she left the room

“Rhea are you still there?” I asked

“Yes, I’m here” She replied

“Can you hang on a little, I might get her to talk this time around, ” I said to her

“Okay, I’ll try,” She said to me

After a while, Greeta entered the room and the lady that served the food came in after her.

“You asked for me,” She said

“Yes auntie, ” I said in a sweet tone

“I can’t eat this except you would feed me the food,” I said winking my eyes

“Don’t act pretty, I’m still gonna kill you” Greeta said

“Okay auntie, the food, I’m very hungry. At least let me eat before I die for your hands” I said to her

“You are a very smart girl you know?” She asked

“Runs in the blood” I replied

“That’s right,” She said

“But, I’m not going to feed you today, I’ve got work to do” she turned to the lady

“Feed her,” She said

“Yes ma’am” The lady replied

“Enjoy while it lasts,” Greeta said as she left the room.

The lady stood there shaking like someone who had seen a ghost. I wonder why she’s like that but anyway I think I can use her for now.

“Why are you still standing there looking at me? Come on, I don’t bite” I said to her but she stood there with her face down.

“Hey, it’s okay. Look at me” I said as she lifted her head I saw bruises on her face. I wondered who might have done this to her but I wasn’t surprised, this is Eric’s house we are talking about.

“Nothing will happen to you, I will make sure of that,” I assured her as she came closer and began feeding me.

“What is your name?” I asked

“I’m Lydia” She replied

“Why were you that scared? Is anything the matter?” I asked.

It was as if she became more scared. She looked around and went straight to the door to check if anyone was listening.

“First promise me that you will take me with you when you leave,” She said to me

“Okay, I promise. No, tell me what is going on” I asked her

“They are planning to wipe out your family according to what I heard,” she said

“Greeta that wicked witch, she is making spells and potions that will hypnotize them when they get here, and by so doing, she will kill them.” She added

“So that’s the trap she was talking about?” I said

“Rhea, did you get that?” I asked

“Yes I did” She replied

“Okay that’s good,” I said to Rhea

“Who’s that?” The Lydia asked

“Don’t worry about that, just prepare. You will soon leave this place for good.” I assured her as she nodded her head and continued feeding me

As soon as I was done, she gathered the plate and was about to leave

“Wait,” I said to her as she turned and looked at me.

“Let me know if something comes up,” I said to her as she nodded her head in response and left the room.
