Alpha’s Omega Mate

Chapter Nine

“Ohh,” Isabella moaned as he plunged in and out of her wet sex.

The sweet sounds his mate made when she moved around on the dry grasses player a string in his head.

He grunted and moved faster chasing his release.

Little moan that escaped from her lips when he applied the herbs. Her perky…

“Shit. Shit,” he chanted as he was pushed over the edge.

“Oh damn,” Isabella cussed reaching her peak as she came undone joining him.

A smile of satisfaction graced her lips and she placed her lips on his kissing him.

They laid in a spooning position. Isabella rubbed circles all over his arms. She reminisced the past days event.

She would have loved to stay mad at him but she was too in love with him to do so. He had also sent her food and jewelries on that day. The finest of the ones in the pack.

He has been showering her lots of love since then.

Kai was lost in thoughts too. He just could not stop thinking about her. Anytime he tried, he always ended up horny just like he was now

Damn he needed a release. Again.

He began to kiss her again and try to slip in already erected member into her but she pushed away and sat up.

“What’s wrong, Isa?” he asked, trailing his hands down her back.

His erection was throbbing. He needed a release quickly.

“I do not understand you these days,” she mumbled and shivered from his touch.

When she meant he was giving her attention, she meant lots of intimate sections. She could not understand why he always wanted to have her almost every time since the week began.

They had even done it in his study.

“What.. is.. it.. my.. love,” he punctuated each word by kissing her from her neck to her shoulder, making the lady squirm.

But she was already fed up. It was almost the end of the week and they have been having sex like rabbits.

She was beginning to feel insecure but little did she know that all Kai wanted was to fuck Cassy out of his system.

“This is exactly what the issue is!” she protested and rose up from the bed naked but she did not try to cover herself.

“It’s almost like all you want me for these days is to put your phallus into me. We no longer talk like normal couples and we do not live like them!… since this whole mate stuff–”

“Do not mention her!” Kai warned and sat up against the headboard. His manhood creating a bulge in the quilt.

He was trying to forget about her and then Isabella decided to remind him.

Isabella swallowed and looked away. She was glad that she had let out the thought disturbing her as she was tired of creating theories in her head.

But she was happy with the way he usually get upset when he mentioned her. She had nothing to fear.

He would never like her.

They became She heard shuffles and movement prompting her to turn.

She found him already in his breeches and white shirt, looking like he was searching for something.

“Where are you headed to?” she asked watching his actions. She moved away to sit on the bed when he came close looking for something.

“My chambers. I see you are no longer in the mood,” he was now pulling on his trousers and then bent over to pick his boot.

Isabella chuckled humorlessly. “Tell me this is a joke,”

“I am obviously not joking,” he said and pressed his lips on her forehead. “I would see you tomorrow,” he winked.

“Seriously?” she threw her hands in the air and exhaled.

Cassy laid on the bed in her room, feeling bored.

Its been a week since the incident in the kitchen happened and she was still yet to get used to being idle.

Daryl had visited her twice. She felt guilt bad about what had happened to her.

Joanna used to spend the day with her, telling her about the happenings in the palace but today, she had to let her be. The girl has always been of help to her since she entered the palace.

She turned to the other side of the bed and breathed out through her lips.

She got up from the bed and moved to the table in the balcony. She picked up a paper and began to write to the beta’s manor.

She had been so occupied with trying to keep herself busy that she hadn’t realised that she had not written to her father and sister like she had promised.

Her mother used to be a scholar and so, she taught her daughter how to read and write at a tender age.

She finished writing and rolled the paper into a scroll. She was going to give it to Joanna when she got back.

Coincidentally, Joanna walked in and bowed. “My lady,”

Cassy nodded slightly with a smile on her face and Joanna rose.

“I was going to send for you but I decided await you. I am glad you are here,” she told her.

Joanna chuckled. “I came here for a different purpose, but I am glad to serve you,” she bent her kneels forward a bit.

She tilted her head slightly to the side and raised her eyebrows.

“Perhaps, can I know why you are here?”

“The alpha has asked us to help you get ready,”

“For?”

“The luncheon is in a week’s time but you would leave with him tomorrow. They fear it might rain,” Joanna impounded.

Initially, Cassy was confused as to where they were going but Joanna’s explanation made her understand that they were going go another pack.

She wanted to ask the pack they were going but kept quiet, resolving that she was going to ask the alpha.

She could not help but wonder why he always informed her of things late. Did she disgust him that much?

Cassy nodded and forced out a smile.

“Shall we start packing now?”

Joanna nodded heading to the armoire.

Cassy woke up early the following morning to prepare for the journey. She even got ready before Joanna showed up.

She was so nervous about the journey that she barely slept the previous night. She could not keep her thoughts at bay.

It would be the first time in ages– no ever she was going to be very closed to him and in a confined space so she had every reason to be nervous.

She did not know his liked or dislikes. She did not want to offend..

Did he ever care if she was offended by his actions or not?

“My lady, its time,” Joanna came in with Emma and another lady and they all curtsied.

Cassy nodded slightly and stood up, holding her hands in front of her.

She was trying to look graceful but she knew she had failed. Her legs were wobbling and her hands trembling.

Oh goddess come to my aid, she cried in her head.

Still trying to maintain poise, They walked to the front gate in the palace where the carriage was waiting.

“Your grace,” the guards present all greeted and she sent them her megawatts smile.

She stood with her maids beside the carriage waiting for him. They stood for some minutes but he was no where to be seen and her legs were beginning to hurt.

Cassy was beginning to get worried. She feared that he might have stood her up.

“Where is the alpha?” she asked finally.

“Are you waiting for him?” the guard asked.

Cassy glared at him, getting annoyed.

“I apologise, your grace but his majesty has been waiting inside the carriage for you,” his voice was trembling as he spoke.

Cassy’s face scrunched up and shook her head in disbelief. “What!?”

“I am sorry–”

“That’s enough,” she held her hand up, cutting him off harshly.

Why was she this angry?

Her anger was getting the best of her and she hated it but the damage had already been done.

The guard took her trunk and handed it to the footman who placed it inside the carriage.

He opened the door and she climbed in.

She tried to compose herself as she saw the inside of the royal carriage. It was the first time she was entering one and indeed, it was beautiful.

It was more comfortable with cushioned chairs on the two walls of the carriage, it had the royal emblem and beautiful designs in gold.

“Are you going to sit or keep standing there, delaying the journey,” his masculine voice reverberated in the carriage, startling her.

“Oh. I-I apologise,” she spoke nervously and went to sit opposite him.

The footman announced he was moving and the carriage took off.

Cassy’s eyes wandered around as the carriage rode out of the Night walker pack’s territory.

It was the first time she was stepping out of the pack so she wanted to feed her eyes.

And as the carriage rode on the path with forests decorating both sides, she did not fail to notice animals but large and small hopping and moving around.

A beautiful smile treaded her lips when a blur butterfly rested on the carriage window. She stuck at her hand and was going to use her index finger to touch the butterfly but it flew away making her smile go wide.

All the while, Kai was watching her in amusement. He found her to be so childish and at the same time cute.

“Have you ever not left the pack?” his mouth opposed his thoughts.

Cassy was startled by his voice. She tool her head in, her eyes trained on him.

She did not expect him to speak with her.

She shook her head. “No. Only my sister has,”

Kai reluctantly nodded his head and looked away. What was he doing?

He had promised himself not to speak with her till they reach Blessed moon pack but now, he felt like speaking to her.

He usually does not feel bored but now he was. Having a mate is really full of surprises like his father always said.

“You have siblings?” he found himself asking.

“Mm. One,” was her reply.

She did not want to tell him about her mother’s demise. She felt he did not have to know.

Again. He nodded.

That was the only conversation they had until the sky suddenly became dark.

Cassy was worried. She did not even know how far they may have gone. Does she even know where they were going?

“I think it’s going to rain,” she mumbled to herself.

He was going to reply her when lightning bolt flashed through the dark sky and the sound of thunder followed.

A moment later, it began to rain heavily.

Kai sighed and ran his hands from his face to his head, pushing his silky dark hair backwards.

“Your majesty, there is an inn in front. Shall we stop there?” the footman asked.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

Kai hissed. He was already annoyed that it was raining yet the man still had the guts too ask questions.

“If you can keep riding in the rain, of course keep moving,” he replied sarcastically.

Cassy tried to suppress the laughter beneath her throat but failed as little sounds escaped her mouth as she tried to laugh quietly.

Kai watched her amused again but chastised himself. He did not like her and he would never.

The carriages stopped in front of the inn and they both got down. They ran into the inn and a met an old couple.

“Welcome, my children,” the woman greeted.

“Thank you ma’am. We would like two room please,” she spoke politely.

The woman laughed shortly. “What? We have only a room left. Here I was happy that you both can share a room since you are a couple,”

Cassy glanced at Kai who seemed to not be paying attention.

She sighed and turned to the woman. She did not know how she was going to explain the situation to her.

“No ma’am. We prefer to stay in separate rooms,”

“Come on. Its cold weather perfect for the night–”

Kai coughed interrupting her.

The woman was talking too much.

“We would have the room,” he spoke calmly.

“What?” Cassy exclaimed with wide eyes.

Several thoughts clouded her head. What was he thinking? How were they going to sleep if they shared a room? Or was he planning to do what the old lady…

She almost slapped herself for entertaining such thoughts.

“Let’s go,” he told her and began to walk away.

He paid for the room?

She took in a deep breath and began to follow him.

Do not think too much. Do not think too much.

She chanted in her head like a mantra.

Kai stopped in front of a large oak door and slipped the key in.

She noticed the room was big as soon as she stepped in. It was well designed with enough furniture and a bathroom.

Their trunk was brought in almost immediately. Without a word, Kai brought out fresh clothes and went into the bathroom.

Cassy busied herself by trying to divide the king sized bed into partitions with pillows.

“What are you doing?” his voice came from behind her.

She found him standing at a distance but with the well lit lamp she could see how good he looked after shower.

“Trying to create space for both of us,” she replied, not looking at him.

Not like she feared him, the idea of sharing a bed with a man was too much for her.

But since he was her mate and her wolf was elated about it, she tried not to think too much.

While growing, she would hear the servants mention how sharing a bed with a man made them end up in his arms.

The thought of being in a man’s arms shook her. She was not ready for it.

But at the same time she knew she was thinking too much.

He was never going to…

Kai chuckled. “You wasted time. Do you think I’ll spend the night here?”

Cassy swallowed not knowing what to say.

“You think too much. I cannot be in the same room with you,” he said nonchalantly.

And without a backward glance, he walked out of the room leaving her to her thoughts.
