Alpha Knight’s Cursed Mate

KNIGHT

I could barely breathe.

My heart was still filled with so much rage I didn’t know what to do with it, but we managed to get back home safely. That was what mattered.

Nirvana went into the house while I stayed outside for a while to calm my nerves because I didn’t want to shift and run, but it didn’t help.

I wanted to kill someone. I wanted to feel my fangs as I sunk them into Travis’s neck. I wanted to punch something to let out the rage inside me.

“Fuck!” I screamed out, but I got angrier and angrier.

“Are you coming inside?” Surprisingly, Nirvana was calmer. Maybe this was why we were perfect. When I was mad, she was calm. We were opposites like Yin and yang, but it worked for us.

My nose was still flaring as I snapped my head at her. She knew I was pissed off. She could feel it because she defied my order, putting herself in danger to save both of us. It was stupid and reckless, but it worked.

How in the hell did she manage to do what she did? It was still a mystery. Things seemed like a blur, and the last thing I knew, Travis and his men were lying unconscious on the ground, and the Ford was wrecked.

I marched inside, and she was staring at her hands. “Don’t fucking defy me again, Nirvana!”

“I know,” she said calmly.

“Don’t fucking decide on your own! You were reckless and stupid.” I jammed my finger on her forehead. I swore I wanted to punish her, lock her in a cell for days until she learned who was the alpha of this pack.

“You’re mad.”

“I am beyond mad. I’m losing my fucking mind.” I growled enough to wake the dead.

She pressed her lips together and nodded.

“I don’t think you understand what you put me through, and defying my order won’t help your case here, Nirvana! Do that again, or I will lock you up. Do you fucking understand?”

“I did-”

“I didn’t say you can talk back.”

She shut her mouth but raised her hand.

“No.” I walked away to find something stronger to drink. I went to the mini bar, grabbed the whiskey, and poured a shot.

I felt her joining me. I drank it empty and poured another. Glaring at her, I emptied the glass and slammed it against the counter. The glass broke to pieces.

She was startled but didn’t say a word.

“I thought I was going to lose you that moment you walked towards those assholes. I don’t think I can go through that again. I would lose my goddamn mind. I’d rather take my own life than wake up every day you’re not here with me.” I cupped her face and kissed her hard, causing her to gasp.

I was pouring all my emotions into the kiss. I wanted her to know what it was like in that position, so helpless to save us, to save her and get out of there alive. It was the worst minute of my life, and it happened twice now.

She kissed me back with the same intensity. We kissed savagely, fighting for dominance, but she dominated me once, and it would never happen again. I took the liberty to slide my tongue into her mouth, and her hands gripped my arms as she moaned helplessly.

At the same time, I wanted to punish her, tie her in bed, spank her ass till raw. I wanted to dominate her body, take her however I wanted. I wanted to feel my cock deep in her throat, in her tight pussy, in her ass. I wanted to taste and eat every inch of her like my last meal on earth.

Just thinking of things I wanted to do to her made my cock rock hard, thrilled. In a low groan, I bit her bottom lip and tagged it until she whined in pain. I kissed her one last time before I pulled away.

She almost lost her balance. I knew she was aroused. I could smell her wetness, and her pupils were dilated.

Breathing hard, I looked at her. “I’m being lenient right now. You won’t like your punishment the next time you pull a stunt again.”

“Right. I’m sorry.”

“Now go get some air.”

Confused, she blinked. “Why? I-I don’t need-”

I breathed through my nose. “I’m having a hard-on, and all I can smell is your arousal. I want you to give me a little space to think straight. My wolf won’t calm down as long as he can smell you.”

She blushed as she looked down at the bulge in my pants. Awkwardly, she pointed upstairs. “Right. I’m going to freshen up.”

“Don’t stay long.”

I let go of a shuddering breath before heading towards the bathroom. I washed my face and tried to process what had happened back there. How did she destroy that truck without hurting herself?

When I got back to the living room, the guys and Kailin just arrived.

“Oh, my Goddess! Are you okay?” Kailin hugged me tight before inspecting me from scratch.

“I’m fine.”

“Is Vana okay?”

“She’s pretty shaken up, but she’ll survive.”

McKaye, Luka, and the other guys hadn’t said a word, but they were confused as they looked at me.

“How did both of you survive and leave unscathed?” McKaye made a gesture with his hand. Right, I was asking the same thing. Not that I was not grateful. “I mean, you have no idea how relieved I was after not seeing you there.”

“You still went there?”

“Yeah. To make sure no one could follow you,” said Luka.

“They were still unconscious when we left, but the truck, though. It looked so crushed.” McKaye shook her head in disbelief.

“Vana!” Kailin ran towards Nirvana, going downstairs. They hugged each other. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah. I’m fine.”

“I can’t believe this is happening again.”

“I hope they will leave us for a while. How would they explain to the cops what happened to their truck?” McKaye said before he eyed me. “What happened out there?”

“We decided for a joyride when Travis and his man stopped us. He wanted to take Nirvana with them and asked for five million dollars.”

“You didn’t agree.” McKaye sighed.

It wasn’t a question. Over my dead body. My only concern was Nirvana’s safety, but it looked like she could handle herself on her own.

“I would never let them take Nirvana. They had guns and threatened to shoot me if they did not get what they wanted. Things happened so fast. We got away and went home.”

“That doesn’t explain how you totaled a car without them shooting at you.”

“He didn’t. I did.”Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

Shit.

Kailin gasped and had her hands on her mouth.

“How? I’m confused.” Not only McKaye but everyone was confused.

“This stays between us. If you, Zander, and you, two, twins will tell a soul, I swear with my life, I will hunt you down, even in your sleep, and I will break and destroy every last-”

“Yes! Yes! I get it,” North said shakily. “I won’t tell a soul.”

“Care to share, Vana?” Kailin asked.

She looked at me, asking for permission.

“I trust them. They won’t betray us.” I nodded.

“Remember when I died?”

They nodded in unison, except for Kailin.

“When I woke up, I started having dreams. Then, I began manifesting strange things like enhanced hearing and healing fast. I cut my finger, and it healed faster.” She showed them her palm. “I’m human, and there should be a wound from the blood pact. You guys can shift, but I don’t have a wolf.”

“So you just have the ability like us, but you’re not a werewolf?” Luka looked at her strangely and puzzled.

“Yes. I’m still learning what changed in me.”

“Is that why you caught the ball?” Perplexed, North grinned. “Awesome.”

“Knight,” she called me through our link, “I can’t tell them about the spirit just yet.”
