NIRVANA
“Wow. You look like an angel, honey.” He strolled his gaze at me from head to toe. He almost had a teary eye.
“Thank you, Grandpa.” I hugged him lightly so I would not mess up his suit. “I hope I didn’t disappoint you for getting married at a young age.”
“You are an adult, and you’re marrying a responsible, handsome, and well-established man. And I have no doubt he will take care of you and treat you like a queen.”
“It means a lot you feel that way for him.”
“Honey, your mom and dad will be proud of you. You’ve grown up into such an amazing young woman.”
I looked up when my eyes started to water. I blew a breath as I fanned my face with my hand.
“No, no, no. Don’t ruin your makeup.” Kailin rushed towards me to inspect the glam team’s final work. “You can cry later after the ceremony.”
“I’m fine. Thanks.” I breathed to control my emotions before I sat on the chair.
“Vana, can I come in?” It was Lennox.
“Of course, please come in.” Kailin and Grandpa left the room as Lennox got in.
“You look stunning, honey.”
“Thank you.”
He gave me a velvet box. “This is owned by his mother. It’s a family tradition to be passed on to the eldest son’s wife and a luna. Now it’s yours. I know it’s nothing much, but you deserve to have this family heirloom.”
I took the box and flipped it open. “Wow. It’s beautiful.” It was a classic design of a diamond and ruby stones lily flower tennis bracelet. “Thank you.”
He helped me put it on my wrist. “Promise me you will take care of Knight.”
I smiled as I looked at him. “I promise.”
“When his parents were gone, he invested his time at school, fight club, and the pack. When he graduated, he worked hard day and night running the business. I thought I wouldn’t see him this optimistic again, living and doing what makes him happy. You led him towards the light. I thank you for that, Nirvana.”
“He makes me happy, too. My life may have become complicated, but I learned to know what and who I am. Despite what’s happening around us, he never forgets to show me there’s always hope.”
“Congratulations to both of you.”
It was nerve-wracking and heart-pounding as the cello began to play. Grandpa might have sensed my nervousness. He patted my hand around his arm. I mean, what I was nervous about? This was my special day. I should be excited that I would marry the love of my life.
We walked down the aisle full of pink and white flower petals. I didn’t know Knight would make my dream wedding possible in a day. He filled half of the vineyards with flowers, which made it look like a magical, fantasy, fairy tale theme wedding.
The guests stood up, and all those golden chairs were adorned with vines and flowers.
I was relieved when Victor agreed to be our officiant. He was the right person to wed us since he got the license to marry and was the head of the Werewolf council.
Knight wore a well-tailored blue tuxedo, perfect hairstyle, trimmed five o’clock shadow, green eyes shining, and a billion-dollar smile. Man, he was exceptionally miserably gorgeous. His best man, Mac, and his groomsmen looked handsome, too.
As he took my hand from Grandpa, he pressed it against his lips before linking our hands. I then gave Kailin my bouquet of roses, lilies, and wild orchids.
“Dear families, elders, pack members and friends, we’ve gathered here today to witness Nirvana and Knight as they exchange their vows in marriage,” he continued, emphasizing the values and importance of marriage and loyalty.
After we exchanged dos and rings, Victor asked, do you have vows, Knight?”
“Yes.” He held my hands. “I’d never wanted to find my mate because that’s ridiculous. I mean, how am I going to give my time to someone when I barely have time for myself? The moment I saw you on the balcony, I thought, shit- this is not happening. She’s not the one, but it was the first time I felt my heart beat so hard I could hardly breathe, and I know for sure without you in my life, I am nothing, and it’s not living. And as I stand here today before our pack, our families, and friends, I vow to be the man to serve you, worship you, and love you till my last breath.”
Our guests just gushed, and I thought I heard Shadow and Aira giggle.
“That was beautiful.” I forced back the tears that threatened to fall. I’d never felt so ridiculously happy until I met this man standing before me. “When I first saw you, I thought you were the most ridiculously handsome hot biker I’ve ever met, and I never knew what mates meant until I saw your eyes glow. You showed me the mysterious life you lived in. We may come from two different worlds, but you show me that the impossible has become possible and that two worlds can collide, and the effect would be devastatingly beautiful. I promise to be your faithful wife and Luna, your number-one champion and the heroine in your story. I love you with all my heart and soul.”NôvelDrama.Org holds this content.
“By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride.”
I felt like I was on cloud nine right now, with the sun brightly shining on the horizon, a halo reflecting around him like the aura of an angel. He smiled at me and took my breath away.
Silent laughter shook his chest as he cupped my face and kissed my lips. Inhaling deeply, I inhaled his scent and kissed him back. We had just shared our first kiss as husband and wife.
Knight turned the testing room into the reception area, full of laughter and chatter from our friends and pack. It was filled with lights, flowers, a chandelier hanging from the ceiling, and many wines.
We shared our first dance, and I couldn’t help but drool over him. I mean, he was mine, my husband, but I couldn’t get enough of him, and I still wanted to pinch myself once in a while that I was capable of loving this man more than anyone I’d ever loved, and he loved me in all of my flaws.
“You look breathtaking, Mrs. Blackwell.”
I smiled. My face was burning.
“Why are you blushing?”
“Oh, is it obvious?” I bit my lip.
“You’re acting weird.” He chuckled.
“I don’t know. I was daydreaming of meeting a handsome guy at the bar or bumping into him while I was picking up an erotic book at the bookstore, and then I met you.”
“I get it, Nirvana. I’m that fictional character in that book with a huge dick and six packs abs with a talented tongue.”
I covered his mouth with my hand as I shook to laugh. “Shut up. That’s embarrassing and ridiculous.”
“Is it, though?”
I rolled my eyes. “Gee. Your ego is bigger than this vineyards.”
“But you’re mine now, wife.” His eyes suddenly darkened, and he looked at me with such naked longing and devotion.
I blinked away the tears from my eyes. Then we smiled at each other. Damn, how lucky I was to have this man.
