“I’m fine, just that I twisted my ankle,” Nelly growled to her kids, her voice laced with a low, growling undertone. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
Her children exchanged worried glances. “Did you go to the hospital?” one of them asked cautiously.
“I just came back from there,” Nelly snarled in response, her eyes glowing with a menacing intensity.
Tony stared at her, his concern evident in his eyes. “I’ll help you upstairs,” he offered, his voice tinged with a hint of urgency.
At that moment, Nelly’s gaze shifted towards the other two men in the room. “Are you coming up for a drink?” she asked, her voice dripping with an eerie allure.
Tommy and Ross exchanged uneasy glances, their instincts telling them that something was off. “No thanks. It’s getting late, so we should head back too,” Tommy replied nervously.
Nelly nodded, her eyes filled with a predatory glint. She had no intention of inviting them any further.
Donna, a young girl with an innocent face, walked over. “Can both of you give me your WhatsApp?” she asked, her voice sweet and innocent.
The two men were taken aback by her request. It was impossible for them to refuse such a charming little girl. “Of course!” they exclaimed, whipping out their phones frantically. Donna added both of them to her contacts, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.
“Since Nelly’s in the same company as you, can I ask you whenever I can’t find her in the future?” Donna asked innocently.
“Sure!” Tommy and Ross replied simultaneously, their voices filled with reluctance.
“Goodbye, then! Be careful on your way back,” Donna said, her smile radiating an eerie, almost supernatural beauty.
As the two men left, the three children helped Nelly up the stairs, their movements fluid and graceful like that of predators stalking their prey.
Continuing their seemingly impeccable service, they even took off her shoes and swapped them for slippers, their actions a silent display of submission to their alpha.
Sitting on the couch, Tony’s heart ached as he observed how swollen Nelly’s ankle was. “It’s fine. I just need to put some medication,” Nelly echoed, her voice strained with a low growl.
By then, Ben had already brought out some medicine from the room. “Nelly, apply these,” he commanded, his voice taking on an authoritative tone.
Tony took the medicine and carefully applied it to Nelly’s ankle, his touch both gentle and possessive.
As Nelly sat surrounded by her pack, she felt an overwhelming sense of satisfaction. This feeling of being revered and cared for was a blissful one, a reminder of her dominance and power.
“What happened today, Nelly?” Donna asked, her voice filled with genuine concern as she snuggled into Nelly’s arms.
Nelly’s mind flashed with memories of the man who had captured her attention earlier. Her instincts told her that their encounter was no mere coincidence, that he held a hidden agenda.
However, she chose not to reveal too much. Gazing at Donna, she offered a vague explanation. “I visited my friend’s little sister at the hospital today. On my way back, there were too many people in the corridor and I accidentally twisted my ankle. It’s nothing much,” she growled, her voice tinged with a hint of warning.
Donna nodded, her innocent eyes reflecting a mixture of worry and trust. “I see,” she whispered softly.
“You’ve been too unlucky recently, Nelly! Before the injury on your hand had healed, you twisted your ankle,” Ben remarked, his voice tinged with concern.
The more Nelly pondered on it, the more it seemed true. She had been plagued by a series of unfortunate incidents since her return.
“Life’s never smooth-sailing! I’m already blessed to have the three of you with me. What’s a minor injury compared to that?” Nelly snarled dismissively, her voice filled with a mixture of defiance and acceptance.
“But my heart will ache!” Donna exclaimed, her eyes shining with an intensity that belied her innocent appearance.
Nelly couldn’t help but chuckle, her laughter carrying a dangerous edge. “Okay, I’ll be more careful in the future and avoid getting injured again,” she growled, her voice both comforting and commanding.
“You better keep your promise, Nelly!” Donna declared, raising her head and blinking her adorable eyes with an eerie charm.
Nelly laughed, the sound filled with a fierce and primal joy. “Of course,” she responded, her voice filled with a sense of submission to her pack.
Only then did Donna reveal a satisfied smile, her innocent features morphing into something more calculated and cunning.
At that moment, Tony finished applying the medicine to Nelly’s ankle. “How is it, Nelly? Does it feel better now?” he asked, his voice filled with a mixture of worry and possessiveness.
Nelly extended her leg and glanced at her ankle, her eyes glowing with an intense hunger. “It feels a lot better! Thank you, Darling,” she purred, her voice a seductive whisper.
Tony blushed slightly, his face a mix of desire and awe. “Sit here, Nelly. I’ll cut some fruits for you,” he offered, his voice betraying both adoration and obedience.
Nelly nodded, her eyes fixed on Tony as he left the room. She knew the power she held over him, the way he craved her every command and longed to please her. It was a heady feeling, one that both thrilled and consumed her.
As she waited for her mate, Nelly’s thoughts turned to her absent father figure. “Where’s Gramps?” she growled, her voice laced with a hint of irritation.
“He said that he headed back to the countryside to take care of some things. He’ll be back later,” Ben replied, glancing at the clock with a mixture of impatience and longing. “He should be back soon.”
Nelly nodded, her jaws clenching in frustration. She longed for the guidance and wisdom of her elder, the one who had taught her the ways of the pack.
“He also told us to eat first and not wait for him,” Ben added, his tone betraying a sense of longing for their missing patriarch.
“Let’s eat, then,” Nelly ordered, her voice authoritative and commanding.
“Let me help you, Mommy,” Donna chimed in, her voice filled with reverence and adoration.
The three children stepped forward, their movements smooth and synchronized like a well-trained pack of wolves. Together, they helped Nelly walk to the dining table, their presence a silent display of loyalty and submission.
They wiped her hands with a towel, passed her a cup of water, and served her with unwavering devotion. Nelly watched them with pride and satisfaction, her heart swelling with a sense of dominance and power.
As they ate, Nelly couldn’t help but feel a rush of gratitude and contentment. It was moments like these, surrounded by her obedient and loyal pack, that made her realize the true extent of her power and superiority.
After the meal, Nelly retreated to her room, her mind filled with thoughts of the man who had intrigued her earlier. She washed up and prepared to sleep, but the haunting image of his gaze lingered in her mind.
It was not a coincidence, she realized. His gaze held a deeper meaning, a purposeful intent. But try as she might, she couldn’t place where she had seen him before.
Frustration washed over her, but she decided to set her worries aside for the night. She would go to the hospital the next day and uncover the truth.
As she closed her eyes, her phone suddenly rang, jolting her awake. She grabbed it and saw that it was a call from Alpha Kilian, her Ex-Mate.
Her frown deepened as she answered the call, her tone laced with a hint of aggression. “What’s up?” she snapped, her voice oozing with dominance and authority.
Alpha Kilian’s voice was calm and measured as he responded, “Can’t you speak more gently, Nelly?”
A low growl rumbled in Nelly’s throat. “Gently? You’ve got the wrong person,” she spat back, her voice filled with a mixture of hostility and contempt.
She ended the call abruptly, but it rang again a few seconds later. Impatient and annoyed, Nelly answered the call once more. “What’s the matter?” she snapped, her tone dripping with a venomous edge.
“Why is your temper still the same after all these years, Nelly?” Alpha Kilian’s voice held a note of exasperation, his patience wearing thin.
Nelly chuckled darkly, her laughter laced with a dangerous undertone. “Did you call me in the middle of the night to reminisce the past?” she taunted, her voice filled with a mocking edge.
Alpha Kilian’s voice bristled with frustration. “Why are you so fiery today?”
“I ate some gunpowder, okay?” Nelly retorted, her voice dripping with defiance and rebellion.
Alpha Kilian was rendered speechless, his words lost in the face of Nelly’s unwavering defiance.
After being yelled at by Nelly for no apparent reason, Alpha Kilian’s fire was ignited. “Nelly, how on earth can your boyfriend tolerate your temper?” he snarled, his voice filled with an aggressive challenge.
“He loves my temper. Do you think that everyone’s as superficial as you?” Nelly shot. He shockingly asked, anger in his tone, “So you think I’m superficial???!”
“Do I need to explain the facts to you, Alpha Kilian? Are you truly ignorant of your own desires?” Nelly spat, her eyes glowing with a mix of fury and disappointment. “Your taste has always remained consistent – You care about the looks, their style, you thrive in the company of those who wear masks of deceit. I must begrudgingly commend you for that.”
“Since when do I find solace in hypocrites, Two faced Women? Speak your accusations clearly, Nelly!”
“Don’t play ignorant with me, Alpha. Not only do you seek out these deceivers, but you revel in feigning naivety when the truth lies plain before you! Lara, cursed with misfortune, is unknowingly entangled with a man like you!”
Alpha Kilian felt his wolfish resolve waver, momentarily at a loss for words.
His heart urged him to call Nelly, to express his genuine concern for her injured hand. But instead, he found himself chastised and scolded, with no discernible reason to his guilty conscience.
