Accidentally Married

Branch Seventy Eight

“You are no fun,” Jessica said blowing raspberry to his face.

He had successfully taken her out of there before she could do anything further to embarrass herself. It was a rare occasion for a person to get drunk and not do anything embarrassing.

“I am very sure you will thank me tomorrow,” Xavier said holding her in place.

She had not been able to stay in one spot since they got outside. Being drunk made her restless unlike her usual calm and collected stance.

“Xavier,” she said retching her guts out.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

“What?” Xavier asked when he saw her face. He was afraid that she would throw up and worse of all it might be all over him.

“I want to go home,” she said suddenly.

He sighed in relief when he heard her request. After all, it was not that she needed a place to like urgently.

The limo drove up and stopped in front of them. The chauffeur opened the door and Xavier did a lot of work to get her into the car. She sat down with her side and waited for him to get inside.

The door closed and the car hummed to life. As soon as the driver began to drive, Jessica got closer and nuzzled herself into his arm.

Xavier stiffened by the direct contact between them. He felt uncomfortable because he rarely had such direct contact with people. His wild train of thought was cut short by a feeling of something warm going down his pants.

He looked down in the dimly lit car and saw a white substance going down his pants. He heard her chew something imaginary in her mouth before she turned the direction of her head.

Did she just comfortably puke on him? Why would she do that? Could she not say that she wanted to throw up so that he could provide a bucket for her?

“Jessica?” he called as he pushed her head slightly.

She murmured incoherently and turned in her sleep once more. Xavier turned his nose up as she sat down there praying that they get home on time so he could get out of the trouser that might now be ruined by her puke.

The car slowly came to a stop at the front of the mansion after they had gone for a while. The chauffeur opened the door and Xavier came out. Xavier stopped him before he could go ahead to lift Jessica.

“I would do it so just retire for the night,” he said picking Jessica up bridal style.

He walked up the stairs and dropped her on the bed they shared while the whole staff looked at him in awe and left murmurs behind him.

It was the second time in less than a week that he was carrying her home like a baby or a new bride.

“What do I do? She needs to get out of this dress and freshen up” Xavier asked himself as he stood watching her chest gently rise and fall as she lay peacefully on the bed.

She stood up suddenly and turned to face him. She scratched her neck slowly before falling back to the bed.

“Such a jerk,” she murmured deep into her sleep.

Jessica sat up straight and felt her head pounding. How did she get there? Last she remembered she was downing a cup of a very expensive red wine that she did not bother to learn the name.

She looked around the room and realized that she was back in the same room that she swore never to come back to. She looked down and saw that she was alone.

As she tried to stand up she felt a sharp pain course through her whole head. Why did she drink so much when she was unsure if she could handle it?

She had always been a conservative girl so she did not know what her tolerance level was like. She hated the pain she felt in her head and body.

“Oh shit” she murmured as her hand went to her head.

Her eyes darted to the clock on the wall and it read past 10. How long did she sleep for her to be waking up way past the time for breakfast?

If she would be making anything she would only be able to meet up for lunch. Although she woke up very late she still wanted to lay back down and have a bit more rest.

Her eyes fell on the glass of water and the strip of aspirin on the bedside table. She did not know who it was but she was greatly grateful that someone thought it to leave her aspirin for her headache.

She popped the pills and laid back down. She would only get out of bed when she felt better. As she closed her eyes the events of yesterday suddenly flashed back in her mind.

Strangely she remembered the entire conversation she had with Leslie while she was drunk. She remembered telling Xavier that she met a jerk and also how she puked on him.

“Why have you been making such fish decisions?” she echoed her thoughts to herself.

“Why did you drink so much that you had to embarrass yourself like that?” she said crying into her pillow.

She lay there with her eyes closed. ‘Should I just run away?’ she silently asked herself as she lay there.

If she ran away then she would not need to face Xavier after all the things she did it him yesterday.

“Are you awake young lady?” Angel asked standing by the door frame.

Jessica was so engrossed in her thoughts that she did not hear the knock and the door creaking to open.

“Yes?” she responded sitting up slowly.

“Oh jolly good you are awake. Let me go bring something for you to eat” Angel said turning.

“I am good. I just had aspirin because of my banging headache so I would like to rest a little more” Jessica said stopping her.

“I am so sorry young lady but I have to bring you your meal and make sure that you have it if not I might lose my job” Angel explained to her.

“Who said so?” Jessica asked.

She prayed desperately that it was Xavier. She just wanted to hear from anyone around that he did not hate her after all.

“The young Master said so”
