Accidentally Married

Branch One Hundred and Forty Nine

“Then why do you constantly try to make me feel like I have done such a thing? Since we took the pregnancy test last week and it came out negative you have been avoiding doing all the things we do together. Is it my fault I am unable to get pregnant?” she ranted as tears streamed down her face.

They had visited the hospital and the doctor had assured them that there was nothing wrong with the both of them. The Doctor told them to keep trying and that they could get lucky.

“Okay, I admit it. I was a little disappointed” Brian replied. “But not at you” he added immediately when he saw the expression on her face.

“Then at who?”

“At nobody, I was just disappointed that we would not get to have a baby soon. I was disappointed that it was taking more time than we had anticipated. I was just disappointed in myself. I saw you in such great pain but there was nothing I could do to help stop it” he said.

Leslie lifted her hands to his face as she caressed it. She too felt disappointed not to have a baby and she was angry at herself for how much it seemed to be hurting her husband. Brian lifted his hand and gripped hers tightly.

“I am sorry that my actions made it feel that way. I have never ever blamed you for the situation. I see how much it hurts you whenever the test comes and I am angry that I can not do anything to stop the torment”

Leslie felt tears drop. It wasn’t until the hot years streamed down her face did she know that she was crying. “I hate seeing you cry” he whispered as he used his hands to wipe the tears from her face”

“Maybe we should stop trying and remove the unnecessary pressure from ourselves. Maybe we would feel more relaxed?” she asked.

It was obvious that the actions were hiring both of them. How could both of them continue to live so miserably? She hated it. If it meant giving up on having children for them to go back to the way it was before they began to have aspirations for having a baby.

“Are you sure?” Brian asked.

He did want a family with her, he had thought about stopping before but he saw what it meant to her and he did not want to crash her hopes. He wanted to see her happy but not in pain.

“Yes, we could adopt a little one,” she said smiling through the tears.

“And you will be fine with that?”

“You are more than enough for me” she whispered. Brian nodded.

“I would very much love to adopt a little one too” he murmured over her lips. He went in for a kiss and both their lips melted into each other. It was as if they were made to fit.

“I love you” he murmured in between.

“I love you too,” she said back.

He pulled away abruptly and sniffed the air. “The pizza is probably burnt now”

“Oh my God, the pizza” she shouted as she ran towards the oven.

He erupted into a laughter that consumed her too.

“It’s all burnt now”

“Since it’s all burnt now why don’t as order another one?” Leslie asked.

“Or we could go on a midnight date?” Brian suggested.

When they had nearly gotten married they went on all sorts of dates which included running around on the main street in the middle of the night.

“It’s been such a long time since we did that” Leslie walked up to him.

He put his hand on her waist and pulled her closer to him. She shrieked a little out of excitement and put her hand on his forearm.

“Aren’t we doing something such as a vow renewal? This is me proposing to have an all-night date with the most beautiful woman in the world right now”

“Two years and you still know how to make me blush?” she asked hitting him so lightly that it could not hurt.

“Leta go change,” he said lifting her.

“Put me down,” she said in shock at the way he suddenly lifted her.

“Why? You used to like it when I carried you” he asked his voice sounding disappointed.

“I still like it it is just that I must have gained a ton of weight so I must be heavy as a sack of rice,” she said and he smiled and spun her around.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

“You are heavy” he commented which made her hit his back a little. “Ouch,” he cried in a fake manner.

“You are supposed to say I am not heavy but light as a feather” she corrected as she put her hand over his neck.

“You did not let me finish in the first place”

“Oh, I am sorry, carry on”

“You might be heavy but you are the right weight for me to lift any time I want to”

“Awwwn” she drew out as he began to walk towards the stairs.

“If we would be going on this date then you need to get changed”

“Is there something wrong with what I am wearing?” she asked.

Brian knew Leslie so well, one would think she was trying to pick up a fight but she was only teasing him. And also her love language was words of affirmation. She did love hearing him say how beautiful and enough she was. He did not have a problem saying it because to him those words were true, they were his reality.

“If you go out looking like this, those billionaires of Chiachester City would take you away from me and wed you at once,” he said and she giggled like a school girl from the eighties movies where she was just told she looked like a flower.

“And I want you to be as warm as possible too” he added as he pushed the door to their room open. “It’s time to come down”

“Can’t I stay like this all night?”

“Should we stay indoors then?” he whispered into her ears.

“Aren’t we going to get food?”

“Maybe we can order in, I suddenly have the urge to make love to my wife,” he said his voice deep and low.

She tingled in his hands and pushed her head towards him. She planted a kiss on his cheeks. “Let’s order in”
