Chapter 28
Chapter 28
The man huffed something under his breath but moved aside. Spring unlocked the door then moved aside as Summer shoved into the room. Spring only had a second to jump away as the door whipped in inches away from her face and slammed into the wall.
Summer moved her eyes over Spring. Relief glowed in her hazel eyes before heat filled them. Her angry gaze sliced into the man. "Who the hell are you and what is your damage, dragging my baby sister into the men's bathroom?"
Spring whirled around, taking in the room, but there was nothing in the space to indicate that it was a designated bathroom. Except for the silhouette of a man on the door.
"Oh." Spring scrunched up her nose. (Yuck.) But wow, a public bathroom inside a mansion.
The man turned to Spring then to Summer. Spring noticed that he focused on her sister longer.
"I'm her client," he whispered. Then he moved past Summer, bumping her out of the way. He took hold of the bathroom door, stuck his head out, looked both ways, then shut and locked it.
Summer walked over and stood by Spring. "That," she pointed at the man accusingly, "is Dezmond?" Her tone was one of disbelief and derision. "The stud you couldn't keep your hands off of." Summer glared at him. "He's an ass."
"No!" Spring and the man said at the same time. He rested his back on the closed door then folded his arms over his chest. "My name is Fallon. I procured the services for my friend." He then pinned Spring with a pleading look. "A friend who must never find out you are an escort."
Summer spun to face Fallon. She put her hands on her hips then stomped her heeled foot. "And what's wrong with being an escort?"
Fallon looked up at the ceiling. He let out an exasperating breath. "Let me guess, you're an escort too."
Summer squared her shoulders. "Proud to be...," her right hand flew up in the air wildly, "and what of it?"
Fallon's jawbone tensed. If Spring had to guess, she'd say he ground his jaw when irritated. And he was visibly irritated. An attractive man, he was tall, dark skinned, and very handsome. To Spring, he looked as if he had money. Dez's suit was nice but this guy's suit was custom tailored to fit his body perfectly.
Spring also knew that Summer noticed how attractive Fallon was, by the way, she stood with her breasts out and the arch in her back. Summer didn't perform for just anyone.
"There has to be some kind of client clause," Fallon said, pushing past Summer, this time making certain he didn't touch her. He stood in front of Spring and rubbed his temple as he closed his eyes. When he opened them, he said, "I know you people operate with some form of discretion."
"You people," Summer hissed.
"Summer?" Spring questioned as she looked around the imposing man to her sister. When Summer didn't respond right off, Spring raised her brows. "Well."
Summer twisted her lips then looked up at the ceiling. "Fine, sure, we have a privacy clause," Summer huffed reluctantly. She walked around Fallon to stand by Spring. "So be gone...your dirty little secret purchase is safe."
Fallon stared at Summer for several tense moments before his shoulders relaxed and the fire in his gaze burned out...just a bit. Yeah, her sister kinda had that effect on people. Their grams often said that if you didn't love Summer, you loved to hate her.
He looked around Summer and said, "Just let him down easy. And for God's sake, don't do it here." Fallon didn't give them a second look as he turned. He unlocked the door and left.
"Wow," Summer said as she faced Spring. "Some friend your man has there. Why'd you let him manhandle you? Didn't I teach you anything?" Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
Spring ignored her sister's annoyed tone and her slanted eyes and asked, "What do I tell Dez?"
"If you don't plan on seeing him after tonight, nothing. If you plan on dating him after tonight, nothing. If you want one more roll in the hay but want to drop his butt like a hot potato, nothing," Summer told her.
Spring sighed, "So..."
"Yup...NOTHING."
