A Relentless Pursuit for Love

Chapter 855

Chapter 855

Jace’s face turned grim after the phone call.

Sage noticed the change and asked, “What’s wrong?”

Jace looked at Sage with a cold expression and clutched the phone tightly. “Sage, I might have to go back to Nadeem City.” “What’s wrong?” Sage asked straightforwardly. Looking at Jace’s grim face, she knew something must have happened to the Yuriel family.

Jace was honest with her. He briefly recounted what Zachary had told him on the phone. Sage’s mood sank too. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

“D*mn!”

Not many people knew that Jace was still alive. He had not contacted Lucas since he returned, so Luna must have gotten her news from Sienna.

Initially, it was not a big deal if Luna knew. However, no one expected Luna to cause a scene at their place and even put on a show. What was with all her and her endless dramas?!

Primrose and Sawyer happened to ride over and saw the tense looks on them. They thought they fought. Upon asking, they learned that Freya was taken away to the police station because of the homewrecker. Primrose was furious.

“It’s the 21st century, and this is still happening!”

Primrose had always hated cheaters and homewreckers. She became madder and roared, “Why are you two still standing around? Pack up at once! We’re coming to Nadeem City with you.” Primrose was

a woman of action. She got off the horse right after saying that. Sage frowned at her mother. “We’re going, but you don’t have to come. Why are you coming with us?”

“What do you mean? Isn’t Freya your godmother? That means she’s my godsister. What’s wrong with me going to save my sister? Do I need your permission?” Primrose was so logical and righteous and made Sage seriously lost for words. Sawyer remained calm and collected. “If this goes badly, we may have to file a lawsuit. I’ll talk to Sean and see if he’s free to come with us.”

“Yes, yes. Sean will be helpful.” Primrose immediately took out her phone and called Sean.

Sage and Jace booked a flight for the evening and headed over to see what was going on. Meanwhile, Primrose and Sawyer waited for Sean to come along.

Sage and Jace had a meal at the airport. While they ate, Jace seemed a little distracted Sage comforted him and said, “Don’t worry too much. It’s not a big deal as long as she’s not dead. Although, I’d really like to rush over and make Luna pay for her actions!” She grunted and angrily tore open the packet of disposable cutlery with her teeth. However, she failed to open it and almost bit her tongue.

Sage’s series of amusing actions banished Jace’s gloomy mood. He chuckled and offered to help.

“I’ll do it.” He took over the packet of disposable cutlery in Sage’s hand and tore it open in a breeze.

“Thanks for coming back with me.”

Sage took the cutlery and tapped on his hand. “Aunt Freya has always been nice to me. Her business is my business too. How can I sit back and do nothing?”

Jace nodded with a smile.

The two of them ordered two small plates of beef pasta. They had eaten a lot at lunch, so they were not that hungry. Sage could not finish the remaining half of her bowl and stared at the noodles with a troubled look.

“Can’t eat anymore?” Jace watched her forcing herself to eat the pasta slowly

Sage responded with a soft hum. “I have to finish it and not waste it. We paid forty-eight dollars for a plate.”

The food in the airport was overly expensive.

The beef pasta served at Tasteful Restaurant was twice as much as these, and they only cost twenty- eight dollars a plate.

“Give it to me.” Jace took her plate of pasta and helped her finish the remaining half of the pasta. Sage was lost for words. She looked like she wanted to say something, but she hesitated. She wanted to tell him to take the pasta noodles to his plate. She did not expect him to take her plate and started to dig in.
