Chapter 85
Chapter 85
The online confrontation had died down eventually.
Those who were enjoying the “show” had their fun taken away from them.
In the evening, Starship Entertainment released an official statement: [As Minnie and several other artists have violated the terms o f their contract by making groundless accusations, Starship Entertainment has decided to dismiss them. This incident has damaged the reputation of the company, and for that too the company has decided to end terminate their contracts.)
Minnie and the rest of the artists involved had deleted their posts and had issued an official apology to Sage. This time around, they had sounded truly sincere and apologetic. Their actions stood in sharp contrast to their earlier actions.
The drastic plot twist had once again sparked another discussion online.
The media had initially assumed that it was an ugly battle between Starship Entertainment and Norah Entertainment, and they were considering whose side to take when Starship Entertainment surrendered when they had least expected it.
It was a rather humiliating incident for Starship Entertainment.
The D-list celebrities that incited the incident had most of their official social media accounts suspended, and some were even removed from several ongoing projects.
Based on the drastic actions taken, people were starting to wonder who Sage Norah truly was.
They began digging for information on Sage, but they were unable to find anything on her on the internet. It was as if she had not even existed
What baffled them even more, was that every post and comment that involved Sage had disappeared across all online platforms, including the video which showed Sage throwing red wine at the celebrities.
Some netizens were lucky as they had downloaded the video, but when they had tried to pull up the video again, they found that the video had disappeared. This greatly shocked them.
On the drive home, Sage was on a call with Luther. “Luther, the attention will die down eventually, and people will soon forget about the incident. Trying to fix it would cause even more suspicion.”
“Let them be then. In any case, they won’t be able to find anything.”
On the other end of the phone, Luther sulked, “I bet you didn’t know that my brothers have been bombarding me with calls since the afternoon. They almost chewed me alive. They blamed me for not protecting you to the point that you had to take matters into your own hands.”
“I mean, I simply think that it’s better for me to deal with it on my own.”
Sage had not thought that there would be any issues. Looking at her quiet WhutsApp group, Sage said, “Why didn’t they scold me instead?”
“Nonsense! Do you think that they could bring themselves to scold you?” This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
Luther scoffed, “We’d already spoken about it, and each of us had our roles to play. I was put in charge of protecting you across all social media platforms. The next time something like this happens, I’ll settle it for you, and you shouldn’t expose yourself, okay?”
Staring out the window, Sage sighed, “Luther, I’m all grown up now, and I can protect myself. You and brothers have your own lives to live; you guys really don’t have to put in so much effort for me.”
“Absolutely not. Protecting and taking care of you is what we’re supposed to do.”
Luther went on, “Don’t you think that you can get away from us just because you can stand on your two feet. No matter how old you get, you’ll always be our little sister, and you ought to listen to us, okay?”
Pinching the space between her eyebrows, Sage sighed, “I should really find you and the other brothers wives. Once you’re all married, you wouldn’t even have the time to worry about me.”
Luther chuckled, “Our eldest brother doesn’t even have a girlfriend, so there is no rush for any of us younger brothers to find one. A s for our second brother, you don’t have to worry about him. He always has girls hanging around him.”
After a few exchanges, Luther added, “Oh right, our third brother called earlier today. He said that the shoot will be wrapping up the shoot soon. He asked you not to worry about what is going on with Norah Entertainment. He’ll deal with it once he retums.”
“I’m more than relieved to know that he’s coming back, but I can settle the matters at Norah Entertainment too… Anyway, let’s wait till he gets back. There are some things that I have to go over with him as well.”
Sage then added, “Is there anything else? If not, I’ll hang up now.”
