An opportunity
My heart raced when I saw Omer's face leaning over me, with a look of concern in his eyes. His warm and comforting hand rested on mine, but instead of feeling calm by his presence, I felt a knot in my stomach. I wanted to see my husband, whom I had seen through that window a few minutes ago, I wanted to see Serkan.
"Omer..." I murmured weakly, trying to find the right words to express how I felt.
"Oh my god! Thank God you woke up, I was so distressed, you scared me to death, I thought I would lose you Sam, I really got scared."
"You don't have to worry about me like that," I wanted to say more but he wouldn't stop talking.
"When I found out you were here, I thought my heart would come out of my mouth but it was worse when you went into cardiac arrest, I wanted to die with you, with your little one, Sam I don't think I can wait any longer, I want you to know that I'm in love with you, I want to start a family with you, I don't care how long I have to wait for you."
I looked at him fixedly without knowing what else to say, I knew perfectly well the words I had to use, but I couldn't break his heart.
"Thank you for everything you've done for me. I want you to know how much I appreciate you and how grateful I am for your help," I replied as sincerely as possible.
He nodded with a sad smile on his face, understanding my internal conflict.
"Samantha, I will always be here to help you with anything you need. You know I love you very much and I would do anything for you."
Tears filled my eyes when I realized how lucky I was to have someone like Omer by my side in such a difficult moment. But despite his kindness and unconditional support, my heart longed for the presence of my husband, with whom I felt such a deep connection that was impossible to describe in words. Despite everything that had happened with Serkan, I couldn't deny that I wanted to be by his side.
"Omer, I need to be honest with you," I murmured with a trembling voice, feeling a lump in my throat. "I need my husband. Please, can you bring him here? I need to see him, feel his presence next to me, I'm in love with him, in the heart no one commands, I wish things were different but the reality is another, I don't even know why I'm here, the only thing I'm sure of is that I don't want to hurt you."
Omer nodded sadly, knowing he could fulfill my wish but willing to do everything in his power to stop me.
"Samantha, I know I can only be by your side right now, but I promise I will do everything possible to try to distance myself from you. But if one day your prince turns into an ogre, just tell me what you need and I'll do everything in my power to make it happen."
I thanked him with a weak gesture, feeling a deep gratitude for his kindness and understanding. I knew I couldn't blame anyone for this love triangle, but it was clear that my heart still longed for his presence, his comfort, and his caresses, Serkan was everything and nothing.
As Omer walked away to contact Serkan, I closed my eyes in the hope of being able to rest a little more, but I fell completely asleep.
When I woke up again, I saw the face of my husband Serkan, those beautiful eyes staring at me, with a look of relief and love in his eyes. His warm and comforting hand caressed my cheek, and at that moment I knew I was with the person I truly loved, the person I wanted to be with for the rest of my life.
"Samantha, my love, are you okay?" Serkan whispered, with a smile on his lips. "Do you need anything? Do you want to eat? I'll call for whatever you want."
I nodded with tears in my eyes, feeling a deep gratitude for having him by my side. I knew Omer had been a great support in difficult times, but my heart belonged to Serkan, and I couldn't deny the happiness I felt having him back by my side. "I'm fine, Serkan. Thank you for being here," I replied softly, feeling the love and peace that only he could give me. "What happened to me? My baby..."
"The baby is fine, don't worry, calm down, you can't get agitated, the truth is, a car hit you, you were in bad shape, I thought you were going to die, you have no idea how bad I felt, I know all this is my fault for leaving you in that completely vulnerable street."
"Serkan... I tried to talk to him but he kept on with his outburst of words.
"I know I behaved very badly, but I will make it up to you, we can go back to London where we were happy, I'm willing to do whatever it takes for you to forgive me."Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
I looked at him fixedly and smiled, our little one looked a lot like him.
"Serkan, stop!" I raised my voice to get his attention. "What's wrong? What do you need? I'll go get the doctor."
"It's not necessary, I just wanted to tell you that we're having a boy, I've seen him," I smiled.
"I know," he said as his smile widened. "How did you see him?"
"In my dreams, he's as beautiful as you."
He approached to hug me very carefully, but we were interrupted by a nurse who had to clean me up, but he strongly refused, claiming he was my husband so he could fulfill that mission. "Please, let me take care of you. I want to take care of you and protect you at all times," he said tenderly.
I was surprised by his gesture of affection and protection, making me feel more loved than ever. Despite the difficult situation we were in, his presence and support were a balm to my soul. I felt protected and loved in that moment, despite everything that had happened between us. There was still love and complicity in our relationship, and now we were going to be parents together.
While hugging Serkan, I silently thanked him for being by my side, for his commitment and unconditional support. I knew that together we could overcome any obstacle that came our way, and that our child would be the greatest blessing we could receive. In that moment, I decided to forgive him for all the times he had driven me crazy, for all the arguments and disagreements we had. Because at the end of the day, what mattered was the love we had for each other and the family we were going to build together.
