Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 132

Chapter 132 I Married Your Daughter Clarissa started working as soon as she reached her office.

Because she was so busy, she had completely forgotten about her phone.

It wasn’t until Lily sent her a voice message that couldn’t be heard on the computer that she realized

her phone wasn’t with her.

‘Did I leave it in the car?’

She then called Damien using the company line, asking if he had seen her phone.

“When did you put your phone in my pocket?” Damien teased her. “I’m out for a business meeting, so

I’ll give it back to you later tonight.”

“Okay.” After hanging up, Clarissa asked Lily to text her instead. Lily said, “I heard Luke came earlier

when Madelynn was still in the company. Why did your President Lawrence allow that to happen?”

Clarissa only replied to her with one sentence: “Focus on your work.”

“Oops! Please don’t snitch me on me, Mrs. Lawrence.”

Clarissa ignored Lily.

As for Lily’s question, Clarissa knew it was probably because Madelynn was Damien’s first love. It

should be nothing for him to have her shoot her advertisement in the company.

When Damien reached the ward, Theresa was laying on the bed with her eyes open.

“Oh! So you’re…” Anne began, but Damien cut her off before she could finish her sentence.

“Please give us a moment alone.”

Anne didn’t continue, and promptly left the room.

Damien exuded a severe aura, one that pressed her into obeying him.

“You’re here again?” Theressa asked.

“Yes.”

“Do you know everything? Did Clarissa tell you?”

“Yes, I know.” Damien simply went along. The truth was, Clarissa never told him anything.

Theresa cocked her head and stared at the ceiling. “The reason Steven never told you was because he

didn’t want you to feel burdened. He wanted you to live your life like any other normal person.”

Then, Theresa held Damien’s hand and looked him in the eyes. The way she did it was exactly the

same as how Clarissa looked at him sometimes.

Damien suddenly had a bad feeling.

Theresa broke into a small smile. “Your eyes look so much nicer than his. Back when he told me

he was donating his cornea to you, Clarissa even took care of you when you still had your head all

wrapped up. I’ve always thought that Steven’s already gone. But now that I look at you, I realize he’s

still here.”

Tears streamed down Theresa’s cheek.

She was probably reminded of Steven, her late husband.

Her crying visage evoked complicated emotions in Damien, who was usually cold and reticent.

From Theresa’s words, Damien deduced that Steven, Theresa’s late husband, was in truth the man

who donated the cornea to him. Plus, Clarissa was aware of this fact.

That explained why Theresa was able to recognize him the moment she woke up.

As to why Madelynn shamelessly took the credit… Damien would ask her himself!

“Was Clarissa happy when she saw you?” Theresa asked. “Your name… It’s Damien, right?”

“Yes,” Damien said through clenched teeth.

“Clarissa shouldn’t have told you anything. It would be best if we just keep this a secret. Did Clarissa

ask you for any compensation? I have no idea what she told you, but know that you owe us nothing,”

Theresa said, slight panic lacing her tone.

“She did not.”

At that, Theresa let out a sigh of relief.

“Then, how did you find out?” Theresa continued asking. Only Clarissa and her knew about Steven

donating his cornea.

“You told me just now.” Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.

“Huh?” Theresa’s voice rose from shock. “So you never knew?!”

‘That couldn’t be it! There should be no reason for him to be here if that was the case! Why did he

come to the hospital?’

“Then… How did you find out that I’m here?” Theresa noticed that Damien was dressed from head to

toe in branded apparel. Her initial assumption was that Clarissa had reached out to him for financial

help.

“I married your daughter.”

Theresa moved her lips slightly, trying to digest this new piece of information.

“So you really didn’t know?” she asked Damien again.

“Yes, I didn’t. And please, keep it a secret from Clarissa. I didn’t want her to feel burdened,” Damien

said. “As for your sickness, I’ll try my best to heal you.”

Theresa nodded her head, helplessly. She couldn’t believe that she was the one who exposed the

secret the moment she woke up. She made a big mistake!
