Harvey York's Rise to Power

Chapter 102

Chapter 102

In the middle of the hall, Senior Zimmer's eyes were twitching. He coughed and said, "Everyone, it' s just a dispute of the younger generation. Please don't mind what had just happened. Don't mind it at all. I'll play the host for tonight. Shall we?"

All the family heads who were present were sly foxes. However, they assumed what Senior Zimmer said was true. They would soon find out whether this situation was real for sure by observing

whether the Zimmer family will successfully attain the investment from York Enterprise.

After three more rounds of wine, the family heads each found an excuse to leave. They did not come for the sake of the Zimmer family. The Zimmer family were not so reputable for them to do so. Their goal was Yvonne Xavier.

They knew that the Zimmer family did not have a hold on York Enterprise. Some of the family heads had some ideas. Since the Zimmer family could send a young man to woo Wendy Sorrell, they can do so too.

When the guests had left, Zack mustered up the courage and went toward Senior Zimmer. He bowed down and said, "Grandpa!"

Slap!

Senior Zimmer gave him a heavy slap on the cheek. He held a disappointed countenance. "Didn't you say that you've settled things with the woman? Didn 't you say that she came to send the contract over? You better have a good explanation for what had happened tonight. Else, don't even dream of being the heir!"

Although Zack's face was swollen, he held his face and said, "Grandpa, did you not see what was going on? Yvonne has some interest in me!"This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

"What?!" Senior Zimmer was stunned.

"Bulls*it!" Harvey was left in a daze. This silly man was too full of himself. How did he get the idea that Yvonne was interested in him?

Zack's face was filled with an expression of 'isn't it obvious?". "Grandpa, you need to pay attention to the details. The details!"

"Think carefully about it. What was her reaction when she noticed that my pigeon egg was fake? She

wasn't angry, nor did she ridicule me. She instead looked on in admiration. Why would she look on in admiration?"

"Also, when Wendy Sorrell walked away, she heaved a deep sigh of relief. Why would she heave a sigh of relief?"

"Grandpa, you are getting old after all. You would not understand how young women think. They are sensitive. They would not tell me even if they liked me!"

"Yvonne was not only willing to come tonight, but she also came with all sorts of reactions. Isn't it obvious that she has feelings for me? When she found out that I don't have any relationship with Wendy, did she not happily leave?"
