Billionaire’s second wife

Chapter 20: Honorable Invitation

Returning from the hospital, with deep thought, Alden decided that he couldn’t hide from his parents what prompted his divorce from Emma and the reason for the accident. Gavin asks everyone to go to the book room of the mansion and let the staff rest, only the security staff will stay, but each person will be far away from that room.

Ethan was the one most worried about this family meeting. He did not interfere in Alden’s relationship with Emma. He felt guilty that his son couldn’t have a good woman like he always wanted. He wants you to walk on your own two feet, so respect your decision. However, just getting married not long ago, Alden decided to divorce. That took him by surprise. Mrs. Agatha is the opposite of her husband, she is delighted to know how the accident happened, and the divorce is a blessing.

“Good, as you all know, as soon as I woke up in the hospital, I asked Gavin to help file for divorce.” Alden spoke slowly when everyone was present and ready to listen: “I didn’t say why then because I needed to deal with the truth. I always denied and meant it. I think it’s ridiculous to look back on my decision. But now that I’ve thought it through, I want to show you what I’ve seen, which was the cause of the unfortunate accident, as well as the decision to get a divorce. .”

Ethan hugged his wife’s shoulder, anxiously waiting for Gavin to broadcast the video. As time passed, Quy Ngoc Hoa hated the woman named Emma even more. It’s fine if she’s just a gold digger, but being a lowly 5th-rate prostitute is unforgivable. Emma was foolish to look down on her husband. Eventually, she will have to leave Helen’s family and of course, will lose everything.

“Unbelievable, divorce is the right thing to do. That kind of woman is not welcome in our family.” Alden’s mother said harshly: “Luckily we found out the truth early, in the long run, the situation could be worse.”

“The prosecutor wants a justification for the accident.” Gavin commented: “Alden wasn’t drunk, the vehicle was also working perfectly, so there was no penalty for what happened. And the drug effect was also ruled out. We don’t want to say, or maybe we shouldn’t show this video, but we are family, and everything needs to be discussed to come up with the best solution. Mom was once one of the best judges in the city. Please give it to us, I advise.”

Agatha looked at her children and smiled triumphantly:Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.

“Cara will not sue Alden or our family. Save this proof of divorce, and I advise you to look for more evidence, lest that sinister woman plays a game behind her back to try to get it loose, change white to black. I want to make sure Emma doesn’t get a dime out of the divorce.”

“How can you be sure Cara won’t file a lawsuit?” Alden was skeptical, he didn’t trust others as easily as his mother.

“Son, how can she deal with the person who helped solve her problems?” His mother smiled, what she said as if it were obvious.

“What do you mean? Did you call her to live here to prevent that from happening?”

Alden exclaimed as he guessed that his mother’s ideas had a purpose. From the very beginning, this woman thought of future steps that few would expect.

“Correct!” His mother happily revealed: “Now that I’m divorced, I’ll live here and take care of Cara with us.”

“What?” Alden shouted, completely disapproving of one more crazy idea from his mother.

“Silent.” His mother admonished: “It’s only fair that you care and help the person you hurt, consider it an honorable punishment for you.”

“Anyway, I don’t care. I just want to end things as soon as possible and be able to return to my normal life.” Alden said carelessly, “And I don’t want anyone else to force me to do something I don’t like. Including surgery to restore vision.”

“Son, your life is normal. Just a new chapter has just begun and I hope all the best for you.” This time it was Ethan saying to his youngest son: “No one will force you to do anything against your will. We are always here waiting for you to change your mind until you are ready to face the cruel world again. No matter what, always remember that family will always be with you. No matter what happens, we will always be solid support for you.”

Alden bowed his head, quietly accepting all the care and affection of his family. You know no one will pressure you. Alden felt ashamed because his personal selfishness made everyone bother and worry about him.

Seeming to recognize his brother’s mood, Gavin tapped him on the shoulder, an act of encouragement.

“Be strong man, you will do it. Soon, I will break the wall in front of me, to move forward.”

“We’re done talking, Gavin knows how to handle the next steps.” The excited mother said: “And I need to shop, we will have a girl to live with.”

“Honey, she’s over twenty years old.” Her husband suggested that his wife really always wanted to have a daughter but couldn’t. Now, I have met someone who has feelings for me, just like a child’s hyperactivity.

“But I’ve always wanted a daughter, and now I’m going to have a daughter for the time being. Cara is definitely a good girl. Let me enjoy that.”

Mrs. Agatha hummed as she got up, she was so happy to have guests stay at her house. Alden couldn’t share this excitement, he felt more frustrated when he couldn’t do all the activities as usual, because his eyes couldn’t see anything. Alden is stuck at home and more bound to his mother’s whims. But the main thing was that he didn’t want to do surgery to restore his vision. So he accepted to live like that for a while.

“Did she know about the video?” Alden asked Gavin after his brother helped him to his room.

“I don’t think so.” Gavin the dog knew: “We’ll prepare a surprise for her.”

Looking at Alden thoughtfully, Gavin probed. He fidgeted with the thought, Alden was hesitating, hesitating, not wanting Emma to suffer too much punishment. If Alden knew about the hypnotic drug case, he might think differently, straight-up forcing her to atone. But as I said, Gavin Alden’s health is the most important thing. He was afraid to hear that Alden would provoke agitation, causing his health to deteriorate.

“How do you feel? Is there something to say about Emma’s business?” Gavin asked seriously.

“I gave her all I had in return to be loved. Yet, Gavin, I feel torn.”

Gavin wanted the right words to say. Something that could lift his brother’s mood, a joke, a piece of advice, something different so as not to thicken Alden’s pessimism. But in hindsight, it’s better to keep quiet.
