Accidentally Married

“What the hell” Emma screamed as she threw her phone at the wall.

The entire internet was plastered with images of Xavier and Jessica having a good time. At first, it was of them in Aurora Haven and now they were back in Chiachester and it seemed like they were still on a date.

Emma had always thought that their relationship could be a sort of contract because how was it that she went into a marriage without knowing him?

She hated that it seemed like Jessica was higher than her now. She wanted so much to pull her down. She picked up her phone from the ground. Luckily for her, it was still usable after the fall.

The only reason she had settled for Burke was because Jessica so wanted him and now she wanted Xavier. She was going to do all she could to ensure that the marriage failed and that she became the lady of the Delgado family. It was obvious that Jessica was not fit for the task.

“Hello, Emma to what do I owe the pleasure of your call?” Steve said as he picked up.

Steve, Emma, Burke, and Jessica knew each other from the orphanage home. Emma’s haters for Jessica began when she discovered that both men in their group liked Jessica and she swore to cone in between any of the two she chose.

She had always considered herself more beautiful and elegant than Jessica but why was it that most men were drawn to her?

“Do you still have that massive crush on Jessica or have you gotten over it?” Emma asked ferociously. She was like a snake waiting to attack.

When Jessica chose Burke, Steve could not stand to be in the same space with her so he drifted apart. He went ahead to own a little publishing house that did social media news marketing.

“Is this the reason you called?” Steve asked angrily.

He had tried his best to move on but it seemed Jessica was stuck on his mind even after all this while. He had even gone into relationships that seemed to end before they bloomed. For a while now he had been okay but hearing Emma speak about Jessica triggered those emotions and he could not lie.

“You know that she is married to Delgado Xavier?”

“And I’m happy for her that she found love. Can you cut to the chase? I’m very busy”

“No need to snap at me. I have a big scoop on Jessica that would bring her down. If we can separate her from Xavier then you can have her. You know if you are the one with her when she is heartbroken she will automatically fall for you”

“Emma I see you still scheme things like this. I know that you caused her separation from Burke. I would not help you”

“Come on, I know you want to do it. I will give you till tomorrow. If you don’t reach out I’ll take my scoop elsewhere” she said like it was a threat.

“I don’t care what you do” he cut off the call and she screamed out in frustration.

“How dare him”

Emma hoped that Steve had some resentment against Jessica and that he would agree to her offer. She began to plot in her mind and the first step would be to get closer to Xavier.

She checked the messages she sent to him on a butter phone she got. It showed that he got the messages but he was not reacting to them. Instead, he was taking Jessica out on a date.

She needed something more impactful that would strike a blow in the relationship. It was obvious that Jessica had a clean slate and past there was nothing she could say to bring her down.

She decided then to use malicious content. How else could she do it? She had to tell lies or else she would not be able to bring her. She sent a message to Xavier again claiming to release the content of his wife’s secret if he did not reach out to her.

She went ahead to make fake social media pages and then paid for followers too. She began making malicious statements against Jessica. She claimed she was a club girl who had multiple children in an orphanage home.

She knew the truth would later see the light of day but she hoped that she would have done enough damage to her by the time the truth came out.

“I’m glad you called back,” Emma said picking up the call.

“You know what? Jessica broke my heart into shatters and I am yet to recover so yes please let’s bring her down” Steve said.

Emma felt so happy hearing those words. Jessica would fall from the high horse she was currently sitting and Emma would take her place. She would give her baby a billionaire father.

“Little One, I promise to give you a good father and a rich one too” she snickered and began to howler like a witch.

“Boss,” Brian said when Xavier picked up the call.

“Why are you calling me so much when I told you that I have already clocked out of work? ” Xavier asked annoyed at the constant calls he had been getting from Brian.

“Well it’s because something malicious is going on on the internet,” Brian said. “I just sent a link to the first post made in that regard”

Xavier pulled the phone from his ear and clicked the link. He scrolled through and read. Jessica watched his face tighten. What could be wrong?

“Find this person” Xavier screamed before cutting off the call.

He dialed another number and put it to his hard. Jessica was still watching. What could have gone wrong that made him so tense?

“Have you found the owner of the phone?” he barked at him.

“Not yet,” the guy said timidly.

“I give you two hours to get me the full details of the person. No no no two hours is too much get it to me in under one hour” he barked before cutting off the phone.

“Let’s go,” He said standing up.

“What is wrong?” she asked shocked at his sudden attitude change.

He did not turn back to answer but kept walking ahead. She stood up and went after him. What could have happened?
