Accidentally Married

Jessica felt her heart flutter at the gesture. Was she already getting a response to her list from yesterday? The definite top thing on her list was a nice breakfast in bed.

She had preferred a hand-made breakfast but the thought of him doing this warmed up her insides and she felt fuzzy.

“What is this?” she asked as he put it down on her lap.

“As I said earlier breakfast in bed” he said holding out the fork to her.

“You said you wanted it and I said I was going to do them for you. Every single one of them”

“Did you wake up at dawn to get this? Where did you even find a place open at that time?”

“Well I did wake up at dawn but it is not a problem. Ever since I stopped exercising I have become lazy maybe I will get back to exercising and we could do it together” Xavier started.

“And Aurora Haven is called the city that doesn’t sleep for a reason. The vendors are always available to take your order” he added turning I’ve to the other side of the bed.

“Exercise together?” she asked with shock.

“We can start tomorrow and keep it on even when we go back to the city he answered.” Aren’t you going to have a taste of the meal?”

Her mind was still on the fact that he had said they would exercise together. Was he just pulling her legs or was he serious? She had always wanted to go to the gym with her husband. When she wrote down the list she had no expectations from him and only thought it would be a list that would later fade out.

“Are we going to really work out together? ” she asked as she brought the coffee to her mouth the aroma hitting her.

“Yeah, it’s right here on your list,” he said pulling the list from his shirt pocket and opening it up.” Here,” he said pointing to where Exerising with my husband was written.

“Or don’t you want to?” he asked confused at her expression. He wanted to at least fill her life with memories if she might be unable to get anything else.

“So you are really going to do them?” she asked her voice sounding freaked out.

“I have to do them. I have to do them all too” he said as he stood up.

“Eat up we have to go to an amusement park too” he said walking to get himself a cup of coffee.

“If you have anything you want to add to the list then tell me anytime and I will let you do so,” he told her.

She could update the list but she would most likely not want to do that. She would be knee deep in love with him if he continued to do all these things.

“An amusement park? ”

“Yeah, it’s a part of your list too. Do you want me to rent out the whole place?” he asked.

“No no no, its just fine with people around”

She was not a fan of fictional stories or movies but she like almost every other girl had the fantasy of a man doing something extravagant for them. She knew what those fictional female leads felt like when they were served breakfast in bed all of a sudden, she now knew the feeling.

She understood in the blink of an eye what it felt like to have flowers delivered to you first thing in the morning. Her stomach turned and excitement and she could not keep her smile down.

If she had been treated like this ever since she proposed impulsive marriage to him, then she would have been deeply in love with him.

“Okay,” she murmured as she watched his back retreat. She took the pillow she had used to support her head all night and used it to cover up her face and screamed into it.

It felt surreal, like a dream she did not want to wake up from. At this point, she is tempted to have a one-sided love relationship with him. It was obvious that if he made an effort then he would be a sweet person.

She dropped the pillow as she heard his footsteps and hurriedly put a fork full of pancakes in her mouth while she tried to keep a straight face.

“Is anything wrong? I think I heard you scream?” Xavier asked popping his head through the door.

“I did not scream,” she said.

What was she supposed to say? Your gestures made my heart flutter so much that I had to scream into a pillow because I was suddenly living a fantasy.

“You sure?” he asked before looking down at his vibrating phone in his hands.

“Yes a hundred percent sure,” she said giving him a thumbs up. He nodded and then closed the door and went.

“I thought I would not hear from you. Do you not plan to give me a report?” Xavier said as Brian picked up.

“Was it okay if I disturbed your honeymoon? The chairman told me that it was your honeymoon and I should avoid calling you unless it was urgent. The only reason I am calling back is because I missed yours first” Brian explained.

“That sly man” Xavier exclaimed as suddenly some of the happening began to make sense.

Dawson suddenly thinks of coming to Aurora Haven and making sure both of them go, Ethan suddenly has an urgent trip after confirming their visit, the extra small house too.

“Was it a planned honeymoon?” Brian asked. He could not control the laughter that followed. How was it that a grown man would have his honeymoon planned by his grandfather?

“Seems like I fell for his elaborate schemes once again. It’s all fine” Xavier said.

Brian had known Xavier a long time and the situation at hand did not seem like something that Xavier would be fine or okay with. He expected his usual grown-man tantrum that might last a longer time than necessary.

“I have an important question anyway,” Xavier said cutting the silence purposely infused by Brian.
